We can start from the real basics ( colors, numbers..) and slowly build up a good vocabulary that we can use for oral expression for everyday usage, we can start by forming nice paragraphs and why not later on essays. Even if someone has a small background in French we can work on improving it by communicating with each other to have a better pronunciation.
