First of all, if you tell yourself that: - you don't know how to sing because one day someone told you that you "sing badly" or "wrong" - you love to sing but only alone in the shower, in your car, or anywhere/when no one can hear you - you would like to approach practice in a way other than "classical" musical learning (--> music theory, scales, restriction to a single range, etc.) - you would like to gain more confidence in your vocal, rhythmic and/or breathing abilities - you would like to work on your "musical ear", your (stage) presence and/or different techniques of artistic expression (vocal) - you would like to learn more about your instrument which is your body, your breath and your voice in order to tame it and experience the ease and opulence in your singing ...and you find yourself (partially) in one or the other or each of these statements, it doesn't matter: there is a good chance that this course is made for you! Meet your voice. Explore the places of resonance in your body, the range of your emotions, the chants of your thoughts. Let yourself be inspired...exhale... Our body, this instrument - nay, this “nomadic cathedral” with its vaults, its alcoves, ... its multiple spaces of resonance - we are often intrinsically rather than intimately linked to it. The vibrations that we emit when we sound our breath, transforming into song, can prove to be a powerful tool in the resolution of tensions, the calming of the mind, but also in the (re)discovery of oneself through our body, our senses and our voice, this musicality that is unique to us. We experience the world on a daily basis through our body and our senses, and the voice allows us to share these experiences with others, both in its daily and extra-daily communicative function; artistic; poetic. But when the spoken voice gives way to the singing voice, Music allows us to go even further... Sometimes even to touch what is called the Ineffable. Oh yeah... Just that..! My method is adapted to each individual's needs. We first discuss your goals, and based on that, we establish a program so that you can progress at your own pace. The learning techniques I have been able to acquire are numerous since I have been able to study music from different aspects and, therefore, the choices are multiple. About me: I am Csilla from Hungary, coming to Brussels to play music. I have a National Certification Register as a jazz-musician from Hungary. I have studied with many wonderful diferent teachers, and saw diferent methods. I think there is more than one way to go with vocals, and teaching vocals, but the basics are the same. Many students has strugles to open up to theyr teachers, and many has with understanding the explanation of the techics. I think a good teacher just show the students the ways they can choose, and do not decide it for them, but giving a strong basic knowledge at the same time, and keep open minded.

This course is intended for beginners (of all ages) and music students (up to the age of 18) wishing to discover, learn or develop their singing technique. I offer early learning lessons for children (up to 11 years old) that can be done in groups of up to three people. The learning revolves around the discovery of different musical styles, the development of the relative ear, the basics of singing techniques and of course the interpretation of a varied repertoire. I advise families able to consider group lessons, music is an essentially social practice and the practice with several facilitates its learning with children. (the price of group lessons is also cheaper). The awakening classes for adults (from 12 years old) are structured in the same way as the awakening for children with an emphasis on vocal technique, and a more advanced repertoire. Lessons for singers in conservatories are more specific depending on the student. It will be possible to approach modern and ancient singing techniques. Detail music history issues in repertoires. Prepare for competitions or concerts. Work on the pronunciation and so-called “old” interpretation of pieces in this repertoire.

One to one singing lessons. Páidí can teach all genres and will provide piano accompaniment for songs. A typical lesson starts with singing exercises and (if requested) theory and sight reading for 10-15 minutes, followed by studying repertoire.
