Graduated from Berklee College of Music (Boston) and IMEP Paris College of Music, I offer piano and computer music lessons for children, teenagers and adults, from beginner to advanced musician. Specializing in jazz, I also teach all styles of music (pop, rock, variety, blues, film music, contemporary music, etc.). My goal is to adapt each lesson to the student's desires, level, and objectives, in an atmosphere that is serious, supportive, and friendly. With five years of teaching experience, I favor a progressive pedagogical approach, which allows students to acquire a solid foundation while enjoying playing. A course typically consists of: Rhythm work; Music theory concepts applied to the instrument; Study of a piece chosen according to the tastes and level of the student. Depending on your objectives, the courses may also cover: Composition: creating melodies, understanding chords and harmony; Improvisation: learning to build solos, to play naturally over a chord progression and to find one's way within the structure of the piece; Piano technique: posture, touch, independence of limbs, articulation and quality of sound; Applied music theory: scales, harmony, nuances, phrasing, rhythms and musical analysis. The pieces studied are chosen in consultation with the student in order to maintain a motivating progression adapted to their musical tastes. While creating a repertoire, we will work the ear, rhythm, technique. I focus on practice, improvisation, and the relationship between you and your instrument in order to have fun on your bass. Okay, but what are we doing? My approach combines theory and creativity. We will approach learning notes through a conductor book but also through colors, drawings and songs for a fun and lively memorization. You will also discover the essential signs for reading and writing music: staff, keys, rests, alterations, ornaments and other elements enriching the musical language. The rhythm will be worked on through a book but also in a physical way thanks to dance, movement, body clapping to naturally integrate the pulse and the tempo. We will explore ensemble playing, essential for developing listening and musical cohesion with others. Interpretation and nuances will be addressed by highlighting musical colors and expressiveness in order to bring each piece to life and convey emotions. I teach cello to students of all ages and levels: from complete beginners to those preparing for conservatory auditions. My goal is to build your technique and musicality together, step by step, so that you're always challenged but never overwhelmed. A typical lesson works on a mix of technique (posture, bow control, tone production), repertoire suited to your level and taste, and — if you want it — music theory and sight-reading. I'll set clear short-term goals with you each lesson and check in regularly on your progress, so you always know what you're working toward and why. I have experience teaching students with dyslexia and ADHD, and I adjust my pacing and explanations so lessons stay clear and comfortable rather than stressful. If you're an absolute beginner, don't worry — I've taught people who've never held a cello before, and we start exactly where you are. A bit about my background: I hold a Master of Music from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I studied under Ella van Poucke, and I graduated cum laude from the Conservatory and University of Thessaloniki. With my quartet, I won First Prize and the Young Jury Prize at the Storioni Festival Competition 2026, and I've performed at venues including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
