Elève ingénieur à l’Ecole Centrale de Nantes en Master de mathématiques appliquées. Je suis titulaire d’un bac S mention TB (19 en math - 19 en physique) OIB américain. J’ai effectué des classes préparatoires aux Grandes Ecoles (20 à l’oral de mathématiques à la banque CCP - 17 à l’oral de Physique à la banque Centrale). Je vais étudier l’an prochain en « «MSc Mathematics and Finance » à l’Imperial College.

Je me propose de donner des cours de Math et Physique de la 3ème à la math sup/L1.

L’an dernier déjà j’ai suivi plusieurs élèves. Je saurai m’adapter aux exigences de vos enfants et insisterai tout particulièrement sur la méthode et le raisonnement mathématique. Mais surtout, je ferai en sorte que mes élèves prennent goût aux sciences.

3rd Year Electronic and Information Engineering student at Imperial College London. I have 3 years' experience tutoring Maths & Physics both in person and online and I am very familiar with GCSE & A-Level specification. My lessons aim to develop understanding of a topic from the ground up rather than just making students memorise lines in a textbook. In my classes the students will be a part of an interactive session of solving time-sensitive short questions as a brainstorming exercise, proceeding with covering topics from the start of the syllabus, solving questions as we move on and understanding the difficult level that the student is easily able to pass. This will be followed by recognising the topics that the student is finding difficult and then explaining them through short lectures and diagrams, helping the student have a better grasp at the concepts. I will ensure constant feedback after each of my classes to understand the students problems and tailoring my lessons according to that. Moreover the students' progress will be monitored and tracked through short weekly assessments based on past paper questions allowing the student to be comfortable with the exam-style questions and avoid falling for the exam pressure. A bit about me and why I would love to be your tutor in mathematics!

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Artificial Intelligence at University College London, where my research focuses on applying AI to enhance energy efficiency in the built environment. Prior to my doctoral studies, I earned a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics from Warwick University. I also completed an MSc in Statistics and an MSc in Applied Biotechnology and Biosciences, both from Imperial College London, with Merit.

My other academic achievements include A* A* A grades in Further Mathematics, Mathematics, and Biology A-Levels, along with 12 A* grades at GCSE in various subjects, including FSMQ Mathematics, and OCR Additional Mathematics. I also achieved a Merit in Advanced Extension Award Mathematics (AEA).

In terms of tutoring, I have some experience tutoring GCSE Sciences and Mathematics, as well as A-level Biology and A-level Mathematics. Currently, I am in the process of becoming a Postgraduate teaching assistant at UCL. As part of this training, I actively teach several lectures and workshops each week in mathematics and computer science at MSc and BSc levels. Tutoring for International Baccalaureate (IB) Maths AA HL/SL, Chemistry HL/SL, Physics HL/SL and for International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) International Mathematics (0607), Additional Mathematics (0606), Physics (0625) Chemistry (0620).

I aim to make sure students understand material intuitively first before delving into complicated questions and foster a friendly and patient learning environment. Instead of relying on memorising formulas, I teach students how to derive the formulas themselves, build upon their previous knowledge and use them to solve complex questions in a simple way, building their confidence in the process. To facilitate this, I use metaphors and every-day things to construct stories that help students remember concepts and relationships between them.

My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, preferences and learning style so I am able to accommodate specific requests. I can help students work on improving both overall understanding of the subject as well as detailed and thorough understanding of specific topics/sub-topics. As someone who sat these exams myself, I know what the most common mistakes in each topic are, the best exam techniques and have lots of tips, tricks and resources I can share!
