I am a Clarinet, Saxophone and Vocal coach from Zimbabwe with over a decade of teaching and performance experience from leading a successful solo career and working as a music teacher. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jazz singing from Haute Ecole de Musique (HEMU) Lausanne where I am currently studying a Masters in Jazz Pedagogy. I have also studied music in Dublin Ireland, where I acquired a Higher Certificate in Jazz and Contemporary Music from Newpark Music Centre's Berklee Track program which is facilitated by Berklee College of Music in Boston. I was the 2024 laureat of the Foundation Casino Barrier Award for talent and creativity and a 2018 winner of the Zimbabwean National Arts Council's National Arts Merit Award (NAMA). I am excited to find eager students at all levels who are keen to learn and challenge themselves in making and learning music. My classes are dynamic, engaging and well prepared.

The clarinet is a fascinating instrument. Its woody timbre, its tessitura close to the voice offers a wide range of musical directions. Whether you want to play classical, jazz, song or world music, we will progress together to connect the song and the instrument. To develop the breath, to consolidate its supports, to feel the rhythm and to shine the melodies, that is the objective!

I adapt my method according to each student but here are the central points of my educational work:

- Warm up: stretching and breathing

- Sound work: beak, held notes, harmonics *

- Technique: ranges, transpositions *

- Repertoire: Piece being learned, reading *, improvisation.

I attach particular importance to the link between song and instrument. Singing the songs and even the scales improves the musicality, the phrasing, the accuracy to the instrument.

As much as possible, I ask to memorize the pieces. Knowing how to sing a song before playing it is for me the best way to integrate it.

Student at the Lausanne music school, I offer saxophone lessons.

My experience playing in very varied ensembles and styles (chamber music, metal groups, rock, funk, Cuban, gospel, tango, orchestras, big jazz band, etc.) and with various musical instruments has allowed me to allowed us to develop a versatile musical approach.

I followed a classical conservatory course in guitar and saxophone, then a jazz saxophone course.

I am currently studying Bass Jazz, double bass and piano, while continuing my activities as a saxophonist.

At the same time, I worked as a teacher and researcher in acoustics in different universities.

During my lessons, I guide the student through a progressive and structured educational approach while guiding him or her in learning pieces that correspond to their objectives. I offer a lot of duets to raise awareness about playing together. Finally, I try to transmit a musical sensitivity that will allow the student to flourish in various musical contexts.

I am a soloist in full career, graduated with a Bachelor and a Master of Soloist in Lyric Singing from the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne. I have 24 years of singing lessons behind me and a rich stage experience. I lead my solo career on the stages of many countries (England, Milan, Paris, Bordeaux, Geneva, Lausanne, Brazil, Belgium...). Although already having significant experience in vocal teaching, I am, in parallel with my career, pursuing a 2nd Master in Vocal Teaching at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, in an effort to further perfect my approach to singing teaching.

Before specializing in opera singing, I performed for more than 12 years in the pop/variety genre.

I will help you discover your voice, whether you are a beginner or experienced, on a technical, musical and aesthetic level.

I can also help you learn your musical part if you are a member of a choir.

We'll discuss your goals and work with a methodology that works for you. A tailor-made path to help you progress as you wish.

Currently in a dual Master's degree program in classical and jazz pedagogy at the HEMU in Lausanne, I am looking for two students (one in classical saxophone and one in jazz saxophone, from beginner to intermediate/advanced level) for my didactics courses.
