My name is María, and I teach ESL and Spanish up to K-12 and adult students. I have taught for over 6 years in public and private schools in Spain and Lithuania - as well as online. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Universidad de Valencia, currently pursuing a Master's in Advanced English Studies and multiple courses on teaching Spanish and English as a foreign language. I also prepare students to pass the international DELE. My approach to teaching is game-centered. I believe that above all, learning a language must be fun. I like to include interactive games, quizzes, crosswords, songs... By that way, learning a language becomes easier, fun and effective. What got me into teaching was the happiness and contentment of helping my different friends to learn, while I was a kid. By that time, I already found out that I could really enjoy explaining concepts to my friends and helping them with the different school subjects and after finishing my high school studies, I strongly decided to enroll in my Bachelor's degree and start to study Elementary Education. A random fact about me is that I speak Lithuanian language. I wanted to improve as a teacher as much as possible and that is how I decided to move to Lithuania and live there for 3 years, learning Lithuanian language and teaching Spanish language and English language in a private school. We'll be a great fit if you/your students are interested in knowing more about Spanish culture, traditions, gastronomy, and language. Spain it's an amazing country.

I am a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language who has worked with various types of students. They had different objectives in learning Spanish and I have always tried to make them learn the language in the most productive and efficient way according to their needs and personality. During my years working in Buenos Aires, students came from various countries: from the United States and Canada to Japan and Korea. Those who came from Europe were mainly Germans, Swiss, Italians, French, English and also Scandinavians. Some were high school and college students who needed to learn the language for their careers, others were simply tourists who wanted to be able to speak during their trip to Latin America. I have also worked with expatriates, diplomats, UN and World Bank employees and their families. We have worked together on general Spanish courses but also for specific purposes, culture (music, literature, popular culture) and economics. I have also prepared many students to take the DELE exam from the Instituto Cervantes, for which I am accredited as an examiner. I've always tried to create a good bond with my students, especially considering that most of them were far from their families, country and culture and also needed emotional support. I like to think that I collaborated so that their contact with the Spanish language was not only productive but also a beautiful memory of their experiences abroad. In this new stage of my life I would like to be able to transmit my knowledge and my love for my mother tongue and my culture of origin to anyone interested.

As a native Greek speaker with a deep passion for language and literature, I bring a unique perspective to teaching Greek as a foreign language. My journey into language education began as a student of Italian Language and Literature at The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where I honed my skills in linguistic analysis and cross-cultural communication. With a strong foundation in my mother tongue, I embarked on the path of teaching Greek to speakers of other languages. Drawing from my own experiences as a language learner, I understand the challenges and joys that come with mastering a new language. This empathy fuels my teaching approach, which is characterized by patience, creativity, and cultural immersion. In my classes, I strive to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to explore the rich tapestry of the Greek language and culture. Through a combination of interactive activities, authentic materials, and personalized instruction, I tailor my lessons to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of my students. Whether it's mastering the intricacies of Greek grammar, expanding vocabulary through immersive experiences, or delving into the rich literary tradition of Greece, I am committed to equipping my students with the knowledge and confidence they need to thrive in their language journey. My ultimate goal is not only to teach Greek as a foreign language but also to foster a deep appreciation for the beauty and complexity of the Greek language and culture. With a strong academic background and a genuine passion for teaching, I am dedicated to empowering my students to unlock the doors to a world of Greek language and culture, one lesson at a time.
