I am Anna and I am an English teacher in a language school. My native language is English and I have worked in schools as a conversational assistant in Spain, as well as in high-schools in England teaching English and maths. I studied Spanish in my university and can also speak this to a high level, so am able to give explanations in Spanish. I love to teach and share my knowledge of the English language as it is such a vital language in the world. Every student is different and so I adjust my classes according to the preferences of each student (preparing exams, conversational classes, helping with homework...whatever you require I plan my lessons around you!) My name is Anna and I am an English teacher at a language school. My native language is English since I am English. Two years ago I worked in San Fernando as a primary conversation assistant teaching English, science and history. I was also working in Manchester at a secondary school as a maths and English tutor. I have studied Spanish at my university and that is why I have a B2 to also be able to give some explanations in Spanish. I really like teaching and especially teaching English because it is a very important language for everyone. I like teaching English, especially for teenagers because they are independent and I have a lot of experience teaching teenagers. I am teaching by using a variety of methods. I usually give some games to my students such as broken telephone, pantomime, guessing game and they are enthusiasts to learn English. Besides that, I teach speaking both dialogue or monologue. I do role play in the classroom such as role-play in fast food restaurants. I give the students a short conversation and they do it in pairs in front of the class. The setting looks like real things because I also prepare the fast-food restaurant equipment. For teaching monologue, I ask the students to tell their favorite things or do a simple procedure like how to make a cup of hot chocolate. I can teach all language skills. I have 5 years of teaching experience, both formal and informal institutions. I used to teach kids, teenagers, and adults. But, mostly I teach teenagers. It is fun teaching teenagers because not only teaching English but I can share stories and experiences with them and I like to give some advice about the school, teachers, relationships, friendships, and etc. I use some methods to teach English like answer and question, communicative language teaching, the natural approach, and audio-lingual methods. Using various methods can make learning English more interesting and the students will be more confident and active in practicing English. I gain my bachelor of education from the Indonesia University of Education in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Then now, I am doing my master’s degree in the School of Postgraduate Studies, English Education program from the same university and I am in the third semester and next year hopefully I am going to start writing my research proposal. I have a good TOEFL score and a good cumulative GPA.
