I am a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where I attained two Masters degrees (MMus and MPerf) with distinction. I work with students of all ages and abilities, from teaching students their very first notes to preparing them for auditions at UK conservatories. Although I now work primarily as a jazz/commercial trumpet player, I have a strong foundation in classical music. I teach guitar, improvising, songwriting and music theory for any level, from complete beginner, to advanced. I have spent the my last 4 years at the Royal Academy of Music, studying Jazz Guitar and Composition with some of the best teachers in the world and I am now keen to share this knowledge and get more people inspired and involved in the world of music. Although I studied Jazz, I started off playing Rock and Pop guitar, so I am able to teach those genres as well. I like to tailor the lessons to my student's individual tastes and needs so that they can benefit the most from it and also get the most inspiration. I have taught private lessons for 6 years and have had great feedback from students and have seen students improve rapidly in just a few lessons.

Saxophone Lessons are extremely fun! The Saxophone is a great and enjoyable instrument to play. It is powerful yet soothing; beautiful sounding and relaxing instrument to enjoy. I recently graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, moved to London and now want to share my knowledge and passion about saxophone with others! (If you are a beginner) You will be introduced to the fundamentals of saxophone playing, note-reading and improvisation, and develop these skills as the course progresses. What will we cover? - Developing playing techniques: embouchure, breath control and tonguing - Learning to play a selection of notes on the saxophone - Studying relevant music theory and reading music for saxophone --Jazz Harmony - learning to listen and count time as you play - Developing practice methods: long notes, scales, studies - A range of repertoire in popular styles - Simple improvisation. Jazz piano is an excellent route for people who are looking for a less book-focused, more aural approach to learning an instrument. I can tutor beginners to the piano or classical-converts who are looking to experience jazz by condensing my education down into core principles. This method of learning helps you move away from the books and to start enjoying the piano with more confidence and skill. I teach with a strong emphasis on theory and aural listening and with my resources I can take you through basics to more advanced lessons. I'm also fully equipped to teach music theory classes and to tutor in GCSE and A-Level music (composition, particularly) as well as teaching early level classical piano (up to ABRSM Grade 6). Ik ben Mark, pianist en student aan Conservatorium Maastricht. In 2026 werd ik toegelaten tot zowel Berklee College of Music (VS) als Conservatorium Maastricht, waar ik ervoor koos mijn studie voort te zetten. Ik geef pianolessen aan leerlingen van alle leeftijden en niveaus. Tijdens de lessen werken we aan pianotechniek, muzikaliteit, improvisatie, gehoortraining en muziektheorie, altijd afgestemd op jouw persoonlijke doelen en muzikale interesses.
