Drum Teacher Berlin / Schlagzeugunterricht "Lock The Time" courseTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Drum Teacher Berlin / Schlagzeugunterricht "Lock The Time" courseTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Drum teacher with over 20 years of experience, 2 degrees in conservatories including the prestigious Codarts in Rotterdam. It offers personalized lessons through its "Lock The Time" method. In my career I have moved in different musical styles and I have played with different artists of international level such as : Junior F. Dixie, Sri Hanuraga (Ingenious jazz pianist-composer from Indonesia Grammy Award winner), Alessandro Mannarino (The most important songwriter of the modern Italian music scene), Nathaniel Peterson (The American Blues Man candidate to the Grammy Awards “Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Iggy Pop, Keith Richards” and many other), Dani Robinson (Experience Hendrix Tour Billy Cox), GrooveX original Indietronic project with a strong musical identity and many others, and the last Teapø project. I have developed a drum manual using progressively harder exercises in dynamics, technique, coordination, polyrhythm, and balance-control, connected to the importance of sound, rhythms of different musical genres, the groove and the jazz music. This manual arose from a need for a complete drum manual that includes the most important aspects of modern drumming, but also sticking to classic drumming rhythms and techniques. It is partly inspired by various musical authors who have helped shape me musically over the years, and partly by my various teachers and studies, but also by my own teaching experience, my concerts and my recordings. It’s therefore also modelled on my own personal drumming style. My method is aimed both at those who have just started and for those who already play in an advanced way. Exam preparation in academies and conservatories is also possible. "Focus on your Drumming"

I am an Award Winning Film Music Composer of Short and Feature Length films with distribution on platforms such as Amazon Prime, Apple TV and Sky as well as official selection in over 40 International and Academy Award Qualifying Film Festivals, including Cannes, Hell’s Half Mile (Michigan, US), Los Angeles International Shorts, FilmQuest and Urbanworld (New York, US). My soundtracks are distributed on all major streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc) and feature scores composed for electronics, Full Orchestra, small ensembles and genres like 20th Century Orchestral, Minimalism, Motown, Avant Garde, Musique Concrete and many more. As your piano tutor, I want to teach you how I learnt piano, and show you how to be creative with music, at the very least for enjoyment, but also for any professional aspirations into composition. I start by familiarising my students with the fundamentals of music at the piano, how the piano is structured, arpeggios, baselines, chord sequences, melody sequences, etc. We take these fundamentals and build sophistication of musicality with a dynamic curriculum. Lessons are structured by familiarising with musical concepts by a demonstration, playing together, and playing solo in a way that aims to be accessible and sensitive to the student’s sensibilities.

Improvisation for beginners and intermediates (any instrument)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Improvisation for beginners and intermediates (any instrument)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Would you classify improvisation as composition or performance? Well actually it is both! When you improvise you are composing music on the spot, performing what you have made up at the same time as you have composed it. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. The key to success is understanding chords. Once you know how chords are formed and know what notes make up a few chords you will be well on your way towards being able to improvise. We will, therefore, start by ensuring a firm knowledge of certain chords. After this we will progress to improvising a simple melody over the top of these chords. The next stage is to start using notes that are not in the chord. The process is then open ended with emphasis on developing the melody. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.

Javier is an incredible teacher! He is not just teaching me piano, but really helping me to understand how music is structured and the reasons behind compositional choices. A very generous and experienced teacher, who is dedicated to broadening my music horizons and improving my playing freedom. I can highly recommend him, especially for intermediate players like myself who feel a bit lost and are looking for structure and direction.

I had a great first lesson using Ableton! Niki spent time helping me with my equipment set-up and also went through some of the settings with me. He explained things very clearly, answered my questions and showed me some of the basic things necessary to find my way as a beginner using Ableton. I now have a few things to try out and I'm excited to start experimenting and seeing what I can record. Thanks Niki!

After only a few lessons with Jeremy, I can say that he helped me progress more than I was able to achieve in 2 years trying to learn the bass through Youtube videos… He helped with the theoretical aspects as well as with my playing technique. He is very methodical and adapts to your needs and requests, and he also provided me with homework and very helpful tips and practice exercices. Highly recommended!
