Trusted teacher: - Do you want to start playing music but have little to no knowledge? - Are you struggling with the theoretical aspect of you music lessons? - Would you like to receive personalised help from a passionate young musician? Often considered a tiresome burden, music theory is to music what grammar is to language. It is a tool, a code that allows us to understand how our language works. Whether you're using words or notes, it's the same! This is why it is important to learn music theory pragmatically, keeping in mind that it is here to help us understand different musical languages, not at all to impose strict rules. In fact, it would be unthinkable to learn the grammar of a language without ever seeing its relevance in everyday practice! About me: As a 25 year old pianist / drummer / composer / sound engineer / electronic producer / DJ, I offer my help to learn music theory and solfeggio, both in harmony and rhythm. Currently a 3rd year student in Sound at INSAS, I studied musicology at ULB, and I practice music on a daily basis, whether as a pianist (improvisation, composition, learning jazz and classical pieces) or as a sound engineer and beatmaker. Some information about my musical background: - currently in my last year of piano studies (academy of Etterbeek) - member of the jazz ensemble of the Forest academy (2nd year) - regular concerts and composition in MAO (computer assisted music) for 7 years (mainly hip-hop) - 7 years of private drum lessons + Brazilian percussion lessons (batucada) - completed musical training (Etterbeek Academy, 4 years) - 3 years of music writing and analysis courses in academy - solo DJ as well as for a hip-hop group - recording and mixing as a sound engineer as part of my studies and outside: music, cinema, sound creation, etc The course: Depending on your wishes and / or needs, we can orient the course towards different facets of music theory. Whether it's harmony, rhythm, analysis or sight-reading; whether your objective is knowledge, composition, improvisation or the practice of an instrument, I can adapt to you! The first lesson is usually dedicated to assessing the student's level of knowledge and skills, and to establish together a draft programme for the following lessons. The idea is to progress at your own pace, in a good mood! This course is mainly intended for people starting out in music. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns, I'llbe happy to answer you!

Trusted teacher: EN I have been a professional singer since 2015 and have been practicing music since a very young age. Whether you are a beginner, amateur or experienced, I will be able to adapt to your desires, your learning pace and your style of music (jazz, blues, rock, folk, pop, soul, rap, reggae/ska, etc.) . I am versatile and attentive to my students because I am keen to follow their projects (whether they are very simple or very precise). * In my singing lessons I divide my students into 3 categories: - beginners: who need to discover the basics (ventral breathing, posture, articulation, chest / ventral voice, head voice, support, discovery of rhythm and harmony). - amateurs: who need to strengthen their bases and know the right vocabulary (the support, the resonance, the different voices, the stabilization of the larynx, the pressures, the rhythmic and harmonic references, the vocal improvisation). -the confirmed: who need to perfect their style and their knowledge (the mixed voice, the resonators, the binding, the power, the effects of voice modes & ranges of improvisations, vocal and scenic expression) * During singing my main tools are: -the singing technique SLS: modern singing technique that aims for body comfort by singing -the technique of lyrical singing: resonance and breathing technique -the work of a song (chosen by the student): how to apprehend a learning of song, articulation, etc ... -Karaoke and instrumental: for the student to work in class and at home -vocal warm-up videos: so that the student can have a base to work at home -the practice of a repertoire (defined by the student): so that the student can describe himself, position himself in his tastes, perfect his technique -Active and relative listening: so that the student can sing just, to 2 voices, improvise in detonate -the rhythmic feeling: so that the student can locate in time, he knows the basics of rhythmic theory. -Some breathing / relaxation techniques borrowed from sophrology & guided meditation: to feel the ventral breathing (that of the singer), to relax during the first lessons, to find in him the words to describe his difficulties and desires

Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level (Turin)
Giorgia

I started my lessons with Giorgia four months ago, and I am so glad to have found her. As a 26-year-old beginner, I was not sure if I should even try to pursue learning an instrument at this point. But now I am so glad I did! I am learning online, and I was a little unsure of how lessons via webcam would go. Despite my prejudice, everything turned out great, even though my setup is quite basic. Her approach to teaching is very creative. She is able to explain things that seem hard to put into words, and she always finds comparisons and descriptions that convey clearly little details of approach that make a lot of difference in the end result. For any difficulty I encountered, she presented methods of exercise that helped correct it. Another thing that I appreciate is that from one lesson to the next, the volume of work is challenging enough that I feel I am making progress, but not to the point that I am overwhelmed. Also, even though I am just beginning and the pieces are not that complex, she explains the musical interpretation in a way that not only helps me advance my skill but also enriches the way I understand and listen to music, and I find great value in that. Her manner of teaching is very organic, and she is a patient teacher with a warm presence. I wholeheartedly recommend her lessons!

David

I had previously played some classical for a few years, but was looking to learn jazz piano and improvisation as well. For this David is ideal, as he studied both as a classical and jazz musician, and has a deep understanding of each. About half the lessons we focus on jazz improvisation. During the lessons I improvise over a few songs, and each session he gives feedback, while adding a new layer of difficulty. We've also worked a lot on rhythm, which has really helped me bridge the gap between classical and jazz. We spent a few lessons on classical pieces as well, to refine technique and musicality. My playing feels much more fluid and musical already, and he's really helpful/knowledgeable with the details. Also, on the weeks where I did have not had much time to practice, we do a more (jazz) theory oriented lesson, which has also helped alot with my improvisation. Overall, I only have positive things to say about the lessons! David is a very easy-going teacher, and from the first lesson I felt very comfortable asking him questions. He's very versatile as well, and easily adapts the lesson according to what suits us best that week.

Oscar

Oscar is an incredibly talented musician who, in addition to his musical prowess, has shown a real talent for teaching. When I approached Oscar to deepen my understanding of music theory, I was pleasantly surprised by his well thought-through approach and I decided that I wanted to make it a regular thing. He organises lessons in a logical flow, uses appropriate practical materials to 'make sense of everything' and always has some food for thought for in-between lessons time. Very happy with my classes. Thanks Oscar!
