Her kindness and calm confidence work wonders for a self-conscious and nervous person like me. - Explanations! Everything is clearly explained, so you always know why you're doing something and how to do it correctly. - I loved the flexible approach: if you know exactly what you want, she'll help you achieve it, but if you're completely lost, she's ready to guide you, offer different options, and give you advice. No pressure, but lots of support. - I feel like Mariela has many different teaching strategies for various personalities and goals, which is awesome. Robinson has been working with my 13 yr old daughter since the summer and I cannot recommend him enough. He is an amazing pianist, and so patient and kind and super professional. We are so grateful to have met him. Just a few weeks ago we needed a recording and at the last minute we informed Robinson and he made the time to fit my daughter in, and we just received the news today that she got first prize in America without Robinson this would not have been possible. Usha is a world-class violinist and violin teacher! I studied from a young age and through college at a relatively high level, but had to put it down for many years once I started working. Usha has helped me relearn the fundamentals with good habits and regain confidence as a performing artist. I love how creatively she tackles complex problems, and how her violin lessons--though focused on music and technique--seem to involve big life lessons as well.
