Trusted teacher: From the introduction to physical sciences to the Bac through competitions or patents such as CAP, BFEM, BT, .... we offer complete and very accessible courses for any profile of learners in chemistry and physical. We will explain the course and then concretize by exercises of application. Also suggest series of exercises of increasing degree of difficulty if the student does not already have one. From this the learner will be able to fill in his gaps and master his lessons well and then apply them as necessary. We carry out a regulated follow-up of the progress according to the program. Homework is prepared regardless of its nature: home or control. There are also permanent exchanges with the parents in order to better find the methods and solutions specific to each student. Thank you

Trusted teacher: English: I specialise in giving maths, physics and german tutoring for school curriculum. I can help pupils (Collège, Lycée) in all subject areas reaching from homework support to specialised tutoring courses which I draft according to individual requirements and needs. In the first lessons we will look what are your objectives and needs to devise a plan for the follow-up classes for an effective progression on your part. As problems are most commonly based on missing basics we will also address them. If this is the case, studying these subjects ends in learning algorithms, vocabulary or grammar by heart, which becomes frustrating for you and for me. I will see to avoid this scenario with exceptions, e.g. the exam next week. Another aspect of my courses will be to also show practical purposes and applications of the respective fields to promote appreciation an joy of the subjects. They don’t need to be only hard work.

Trusted teacher: Hello, I am an engineer graduated from a high school (INSA Lyon in France), and I obtained my scientific baccalaureate with honors. I am French and I teach in Dubai. I have more than 6 years of experience in private lessons and have very good results with my students. I teach science courses: math, physics, chemistry, engineering, mechanics, etc. Given the current context, I want to help the students to progress faster and to prepare them well so that they do not have delays. When we run into difficulties, it is sometimes because school methods do not work well for us. This is why I have adopted for 6 years a methodology different from the standard, and which has largely proven its worth. I am interested in cognitive science and effective learning techniques, and I apply the methods recommended by the best researchers in neuroscience. This allows the student to progress rapidly in the following 4 areas: logic and comprehension, memorization, motivation, and concentration. Have a good day, Gaëtan

Trusted teacher: I graduated from the IB programme myself in 2017, therefore I'm very much familiar with the problems that students face during IB Math & Physics. I'm currently studying Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft, and looking back, I realize that most of the problems I encountered during the IB would have been very easily solved with the help for a tutor, since my teachers didn't have the time to help me individually. As such, I'm here to help you with each of the different topics in Math & Physics, as well as providing some ideas for your IA, and also some advice about studying for the IB in general. I'm also available to help in-between lessons, for any questions about homework or practice exams that you may have, which I believe is actually the most valuable part of having a personal tutor.

Renzo - Milan, Italy£60
Trusted teacher: I have more than 6 years of experience tutoring students from International Schools. During all this time I've shared with them a unique and simple approach to learn and understand Science, obtaining outstanding results with all of them. All my students were astonished by how simple and effective my methodology is, compared with the "standard" one taught by their teachers. This is possible because from all my years of experience I've been able to recognize the common struggles the students had, the weak points of that approach, and elaborated alternative methods to overcome them. My guidance is aimed to be sure that the students excel in these 3 stages: 1.- Understanding the foundations of each topic studied. 2.- Be familiar with the "tricks" required to solve frequently asked questions on past papers. 3.- Given that this is a two-year program, is not only about understand, but also being able to easily recall what we learned when the date of the final exam arrives. That's why in this stage I rely on NLP techniques to show the students the more suitable for them to recall information, based on their preferable and unique learning style.

Reza - The Hague, Netherlands£24
Trusted teacher: I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and currently I work as a post-doctoral researcher in Aerospace Engineering Faculty of TU Delft (Delft University of Technology). I have ample experience in teaching all the courses related to Engineering such as - Mathematics (algebra, probability, calculus, differential equations, intellectual math, and advanced engineering mathematics), - Mechanical engineering courses (Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanical design, control, vibration, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer, Engineering drawing, Applied Mechanics, Composite Structures, Flight, Machine Elements, Manufacturing, 3D printing, etc), - Physics (mechanics, momentum and energy, electricity, charge and current, electric and magnetic fields, waves, particle physics, nuclear decay, astrophysics, cosmology, oscillations, etc), - CAD/CAM software (Autocad, Solidworks), and - Mechanical design packages (ANSYS, APDL programming, ABAQUS, MATLAB, Symbolic MATLAB, LS-DYNA). My more specific research and teaching interests are: • Additive manufacturing • Mechanical metamaterials • Acoustical metamaterials • Electromagnetic metamaterials • Aeroacoustics • Soft matter and soft robotics • Fatigue and fracture mechanics • Experimental mechanics • Multiscale numerical modelling • Biomaterials • Porous materials • Manufacturing of medical devices and implants • Deep learning • Image processing • Topology optimization • Origami and Kirigami structures • Self-folding and self-assembly structures • Tissue engineering • Permeability in porous materials • Fluid-Solid Interaction Not all the teachers are good at teaching Engineering and Mathematics courses and informing the students about the importance of what they are learning. That is why mathematical based engineering courses (such as Statics or Strength of Materials) are mostly boring for the students. The other problem that many students have with courses with strong mathematical background is that their mathematical basis is weak and therefore they cannot follow the course. I usually try to start my course from the basics and therefore actively engage as many students as possible in the class (even the weak ones). I also usually try to inform the students about the importance of what they are learning in the class by giving them some examples. This makes them more inspired and interested into what they are learning. If you have extra questions before starting a class, don't hesitate to ask me :)

Trusted teacher: I am an aeronautical engineer and I am well aware of the frustration of not achieving the desired academic results. I was here. A lot of times. I find it very satisfying to teach and to see how my students achieve their goals. I sincerely believe that learning is a privilege and a pleasure. It is my top priority that my students feel this. My level of mathematics, physics and engineering is very competent. Although of course, for very specific topics or doubts, I will have to analyze whether I am able to teach lessons with ease or not. Do not hesitate to write to me. I am used to working with people of different ages. I believe in segmentation, visualization of progress, objective results and practice. For students who have difficulty I analyze the root of learning problems. And, above all, I try to motivate them. An ideal lesson time would be distributed as follows: 20 minutes question and answer and start from these gaps, 30 minutes to advance, 10 minutes lateral thinking. Beyond these general lines, there is no rule or magic method. Some things work with some students and not with others. Adapting to needs is really the goal of private lessons. So I will do my best to find what motivates and helps my student.

Oliver - Barcelona, Spain£62
Trusted teacher: .. [British Maths Tutor] ... When I was a young child, I believed I was not a mathematical person. It wasn't until I met an amazing teacher at age 15 that I discovered my mathematical genius and my life was changed forever. I'm eternally grateful to that teacher. My teacher knew that self-image and self-belief is the key to unlock your child's mathematical abilities. Everyone is good at maths, but we all have different styles of thinking. Bad teachers teach every child the same way. My job is find your child's style of mathematics and allow him to discover that for himself. When he discovers that, he will begin to enjoy the beauty and power of mathematics ...and then you will see as the grades begin to soar. 👉Click the blue "Contact Oliver" button above and lets discuss how we can unlock your child's mathematical talents! 😊

Trusted teacher: I have now completed my second year of mathematics at UHasselt without re-exams. I have a stage diploma and am a former leader of the scouts (so I have some experience with children). I see too many children who have an unnecessarily difficult time with math. I personally see all this happening due to a lack of applications in everyday life. I want to change this by showing them these applications and explaining it all a bit more easily. I will first take a general look at where the problems are and then continue to specifically address them until they are resolved.
