Trusted teacher: Just done your mock exams? Are you ready to pull your grades all the way up? Or maybe looking to secure your 'safe' grade? Look no further. As a full time Data Lead and Exams Officer at Conisborough College, I have a unique view of performance metrics, and the latest knowledge on GCSE exams. With a specialism in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, my style of teaching is an expression of my experiences as a student and a tutor. My past tutoring experiences range from teaching secondary school classrooms and a lot of work with 1-on-1's. While I have had State Schooling my successful early experiences with exams (SATS, GCSEs) set me up with a solid foundation and ideal to approach exams by myself and eventually find my area of expertise in everything Maths and Physics. When it comes to exam preparation, my strategy is always textbook oriented. My principle in education has always been to know what I don't know and then deal with my not-knowing of that chapter/area. I like to use what is known/understood as a warm up and get creative with it, probing the student's baselines and tactics. The warm up also gives you the winning-feeling about the subject and this is a feeling that grows and brings clarity such that it guides me year in, year out to go and understand every chapter to answer every topical exam question, and it can for you too. I offer in person, and online teaching and am willing to provide references on demand, but first let's have a video call to discuss your needs further! Do you speak French? Have you just passed your practice exams? Are you ready to boost your grades? Or perhaps you're just looking to secure your "safe" grade? Look no further. As Data Lead and Exams Manager at Conisborough College, I have unique insight into performance metrics and the latest developments in GCSE exams. Specializing in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics, my teaching approach reflects my experiences as a student and tutor. I have extensive teaching experience, both in classrooms in secondary schools and in individual tutoring sessions. Although I received a state education, my successful experiences with exams (SATS, GCSEs) gave me a solid foundation and an ideal method for approaching exams independently. This is how I was able to specialize in Mathematics and Physics. When it comes to exam preparation, my strategy always relies on textbooks. My learning principle is simple: identify what I don't know, then address those gaps. I like to start with what is already known and understood, using it as a warm-up. This allows me to assess the student's level and strategies, while making learning more dynamic and creative. This warm-up also gives you a sense of achievement, which strengthens over time and provides essential clarity. It's this approach that has allowed me, year after year, to assimilate each chapter and be able to answer each exam question. It can do the same for you. I offer in-person and online classes and can provide references upon request. But first, let's discuss your needs over a video call!

Trusted teacher: My lessons are aimed at students in primary school, secondary school, and university (depending on the program and course). I was fortunate to have a very broad background in the exact sciences thanks to my civil engineering studies. My lessons can therefore cover chemistry (kinetics, equilibria, mass balances, etc.), mathematics (analysis, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, differential equations, etc.), and physics (electricity, mechanics, thermodynamics, etc.). Before starting private lessons, I usually ask for a description of the student's current course so that I can best prepare the sessions. My studies also instilled in me a problem-based learning approach. My teaching method is therefore primarily practice-oriented, as the most important thing in the exact sciences is being able to solve any type of problem. And to do that, you have to do as many as possible. During my studies, I realized that the best way to understand a subject is by doing exercises on it. However, you still need to have some foundational knowledge. That's why I usually start with a brief review of the subject and provide a formula sheet with the important formulas. Then, I work through one or more typical exercises with the student, explaining the steps involved. Finally, the student will do exercises on their own, using the formula sheet (using formulas is the best way to remember them). I'm there to assess their understanding, answer their questions, and help them when needed.

Trusted teacher: Tutoring for International Baccalaureate (IB) Maths AA HL/SL, Chemistry HL/SL, Physics HL/SL and for International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) International Mathematics (0607), Additional Mathematics (0606), Physics (0625) Chemistry (0620). I aim to make sure students understand material intuitively first before delving into complicated questions and foster a friendly and patient learning environment. Instead of relying on memorising formulas, I teach students how to derive the formulas themselves, build upon their previous knowledge and use them to solve complex questions in a simple way, building their confidence in the process. To facilitate this, I use metaphors and every-day things to construct stories that help students remember concepts and relationships between them. My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, preferences and learning style so I am able to accommodate specific requests. I can help students work on improving both overall understanding of the subject as well as detailed and thorough understanding of specific topics/sub-topics. As someone who sat these exams myself, I know what the most common mistakes in each topic are, the best exam techniques and have lots of tips, tricks and resources I can share! I offer flexible scheduling, with availability during the day, early mornings, and late evenings for lessons online or in-person lessons near South Kensington. Please message me before booking so we can find a time that works for both of us! If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me :)

Fabian is an excellent tutor. My daughter needed to pass the CCVX and Boswell Beta exams in Chemistry to qualify for admission at a Dutch University after having completed high school in the United States. Fabian was able to explain complex ideas in a simplified manner and created a comfortable learning environment for my daughter to thrive in. He adapted his teaching to her learning style so she was able to really engage with what was being taught. The result was her successfully passing both exams this summer and subsequently being admitted to the university. She is now in her first semester at the university and feeling confident and thankful for Fabian's support in getting her there!
