After settling down in the capital City in NZ, Wellington she has been focusing on her musical studies and degree at New Zealand School of Music in Victoria University, as well as developing her teaching skills privately and at school. Trusted teacher: Piano Lessons in The Hague Learning to play the piano is not only an incredibly useful skill but also an enjoyable and fulfilling process. The instrument can be a gateway to understanding and experiencing music, which is why I believe the piano should be made available to everyone. Children and Adults If you have a child or know someone who has developed an interest in learning the piano, you'd like to learn it as a second instrument, or you are a working professional who just fancies trying something new, I'd be happy to get you started on your musical journey. What to expect? You can learn how to read music, understand simple music theory, play simple chords and scales, develop your own creativity, and can focus on playing some classical/jazz/pop pieces and even work towards taking online performance exams. I will develop enjoyable lessons tailored specifically to you. Making the first steps In the beginning, the piano can be very overwhelming! I take a lot of time on the basics as there is always a lot to learn and take in. I use a variety of beginner method books and resources to help you build your confidence in understanding the piano itself, developing your coordination skills, learning to understand the musical notes on the page, developing your musical ear, and understanding basic music theory. Jazz - Pop - Classical After having covered the basics of piano playing, theory, and reading skills, many of my students move on to playing classical, jazz, blues, or pop pieces, practicing scales and finger exercises as well as further strengthening their sight-reading skills. Improvising Or if you perhaps wish to get away from notes written down on the page I can help you develop your own creativity by understanding theory and applying it to chordal playing, composing and improvising, and playing by ear. Practical Lessons From the age of 12, I had classical piano lessons and have always studied the piano as a secondary instrument to the trumpet. I continue to play piano as a hobby and during my studies at the conservatory, I developed an interest in jazz piano playing. You can therefore feel confident that no matter what your interest may be (perhaps you haven't figured this one out yet), I can give you high-quality fun, and enjoyable training in your own interests. No Piano yet? There are a lot of options and things to consider when working out how to get hold of or buy a keyboard/piano which can be confusing and sometimes stressful! I am happy to give advice to ensure the choice you make is right for you. Online Lessons For the last couple of years, I have been teaching lots of students online. Many have found this way not only to be very suitable but actually their preferred style of learning. Sometimes nothing can be better and simpler than learning in the comfort of your own home. As a teacher, I often find the best solution is a mix of both online and live lessons. We can experiment and find the best solution for you. Lesson Location I live in The Hague and teach from my apartment on a Yamaha Acoustic Upright and Electric piano. I'm pretty flexible, so if you're pushed for time or need to work out a better solution, I am happy to travel to another location close by if it's convenient! Get in touch If any of the above sparks your interest for you or a family member, or perhaps you feel like gifting someone you know with some piano lessons, please do get in touch.

Trusted teacher: My goal as a music teacher is to make the students able to experience all types of emotions by playing music, understanding the musical process from its roots with a creative approach. My lessons are designed according to the specific needs of each student and the main objective is to guide them in the optimal direction to achieve their full potential in a fun way. Thereby, the instrument becomes a tool to understand what making music really means and will be a way for the student to express his emotions. My approach to the lessons can provide a lot of creativity, fun and originality. How will my lessons look like From the first lesson, the student will start making music. We will begin learning the basic concepts of music, developing listening and rhythmic skills with fun exercises. Lessons will also be focused on learning the basics of music theory, creating a solid technical base and paying special attention to having a relaxed and healthy body posture. My academic and professional experience has helped me create a teaching method where improvisation is an essential tool for the student. I enjoy working on it from the beginning since it is a perfect way to develop musicality. Playing different music genres together As a musician, another of my sources of inspiration is to get to know and to learn from different styles, playing and experimenting with music from the classical period until the most avant-garde style. During the lessons, we will play pop, jazz, classical and many other styles. I would like to explore the instrument with the student in a fun way, growing, improving, and discovering new ways of making music together. During the lessons the students and I could play together, either playing some duos with the cello or accompanying them with the piano, which is an activity that I really enjoy. Playing together with more people and with a polyphonic instrument from the beginning will give the student clues to learn how to play in ensembles and listen to all the different voices that can be part of any musical composition.

Trusted teacher: Dear parents and students, welcome to my profile! I am a professional opera singer who has performed in theatres and concerts in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, Romania, and Hong Kong, has won international vocal competitions, been an adjudicator in vocal competitions, and given vocal masterclasses in secondary schools. I was a singing and piano teacher at an arts school in London, where my classes were always fully booked. I have always enjoyed teaching and can teach a wide range of repertoire in English, German, French and Italian. As a private singing teacher, all my students have won local and international competitions, and obtained excellent results in their exams. Some of them even decided to choose music and opera as their future careers. Yet, I see many more responsibilities being a teacher. Besides sharing knowledge and experience with my students, I am also the person who: - enlightens my students through their journey of music; - my students can rely on and talk to; - influences them to embrace differences and be kind; - makes them aware of their values and proud of themselves. I want to be my students' friend and teach them with a humble and empathetic heart. My students like sharing their stories and ideas with me outside the lessons, sometimes about books, sometimes about philosophy, sometimes about the world, sometimes about the industry, sometimes about anything in life. I always make time for my students. Besides singing, I have been a pianist and piano teacher for 13 years. I am usually the accompanist for my students in their competitions and exams. My qualifications are as follows: The Chinese University of Hong Kong Bachelor of Arts (Music) Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel Master of Music (Classical Singing) Postgraduate in Classical Singing Licentiate Trinity College London Vocal Performance 97/100 Distinction Licentiate Trinity College London Piano Performance 90/100 Distinction DipABRSM Piano ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory Lessons are done with an acoustic grand piano. Please feel free to contact me and let me know what you want to learn and achieve! Have a super lovely day!:)

We really liked his approach to teaching kids. We didn't know how our little shy one (4.5yo) would react to the class, but Elio was able to connect with him and engage him right away.
