Currently, I am a year one teacher and I have experience working in pre-school and foundation. The skills I have developed will assist me in making a positive contribution, stimulating, and motivating pupils to reach their true potential. Additionally, I have gained practical experience as an LSA, as well as a nursery practitioner. During my time as a nursery practitioner, I was promoted to the role of Pre-School Room Leader, which enabled me to design and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that align with the EYFS. Both these roles allowed me to create a positive and stimulating learning environment and tailor my teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs and abilities of each child, including those with special needs. I am responsible for teaching whole class phonics lessons, as well as guiding daily one-to-one and small group interventions of mixed ability children, supporting the children with foundational skills necessary for reading and writing.
