About Me

My name is Richard Paras, and I’m a qualified music teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching guitar, piano, and keyboard to students of all ages and backgrounds.

I hold multiple graded certifications from Trinity College London, including:

Electronic Keyboard: Grades 3, 5, and 8

Rock & Pop Guitar: Grades 1, 3, and 5

Piano: Grades 2, 4, and 6

Music Theory: Grade 5

These achievements reflect both my technical knowledge and practical experience in various music styles.

Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, and now based in Doha, Qatar, I offer personalized lessons in English, Urdu, and Hindi, tailored to each student’s pace, goals, and preferred style—whether it’s pop, classical, or modern worship.

My goal is to make music learning joyful, clear, and inspiring—building strong foundations and confidence in every student.

Education

I have a diverse educational background that combines formal academic training, theological studies, and music education.

I hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from Allama Iqbal Open University, where I gained a strong foundation in teaching methodologies, student development, and classroom management. This qualification has helped me become an effective, student-focused instructor who can adapt to different learning styles and age groups.

In addition to my teaching degree, I have earned a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) from Gilgal Biblical Seminary. This program deepened my understanding of Christian education, spiritual leadership, and biblical studies—enriching my ability to teach worship music and work with students in faith-based learning environments.

I also hold a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from the University of Karachi, which provided me with knowledge in business, finance, and organizational management—skills that support my private teaching and professional discipline.
