You will start to enjoy playing the piano both during and outside of the time of the class. You will learn how to be able to perform in a way that inspires your audience. I will teach you the basic music theory without going way deep into it because this is a performance class but you will learn what you need to excel in your performance. Additionally, I will teach you the principles of aesthetics of playing the piano. The repertoire that I focus on is mostly Western modern and Classical music, but we can also work on some famous Persian and Turkish pieces if you like. Of course, you are also always welcome to bring your favorite pieces to the class. Contact me for availability.

Filmmaking: Making a Short Film of Your Taste of Genre

This is a hands-on experience course about filmmaking. We go through all the procedures of you making a short film which is going to be the fruit of your effort :)! We work on the storytelling (does not have to be a conventional type of a story, there is no single way of telling stories), analysis of the script (if any), making a shot list, looking for the crew, taking shots, post-production (mainly editing), receiving feedback, and voilà!

Improvisation and Private Dance Classes in Your Favorite Genre

You will learn how to show your emotions through movements to best inspire the audience and enjoy. We will work on rhythm, tempo (which are two different things), creativity, improvisation techniques and theatrical performance (if interested). I do not like to work genre-based (for instance only hip-hop, or only classical music), but we will practice what you like the most. However, my strengths are rather in contemporary and modern style, hip hop, breakdance, belly dancing, and Persian dance. We can also specialize in one of these if you are interested. You'll learn how to use the voice in the proper way, starting from your natural speech and developing it to find your own sound. I have experience in both Pop and Jazz styles (a Bachelor in Jazz Singing and a degree in Jazz Composition), so it's possible to study songs from both these repertoires. I also give Music Theory lessons, to make the student develop his/her own style and musical sensibility and, in the case of Jazz, to know how to improvise on different chord changes and jazz styles.

My teaching method developed during 20 years of experience and thanks to my studies of Music Pedagogy and Piano Teaching during my Master's in Piano at Livorno's Conservatory.
I am currently a piano teacher in a British School and I prepared several students for ABRSM and Trinity College exams.
As a private piano teacher, I work preferably in my studio, on a beautiful grand piano Yamaha, but, if not too far, I am also available for lessons at the student's house.

My teaching is adapted to the skills and goals of each student. With beginning children, I aim at full musical development of the student (not just playing notes, but feeling the rhythm, singing, and expressing emotions through free improvisation); technically I don't work only at the finger position, but at the organic interaction arm-wrist-fingers, through simple exercises.
With adult or advanced students, I observe them, to suggest which type of repertory to work together, and which aspects of the technique might still need improvement.
I teach classically, through the learning of notes, harmony, and written music, but I teach also how to play songs with only chord symbols, and blues improvisation at a basic level.

Both with children and adults I aim at creating a joyful experience during the lesson, in which focus is gained in a playful way, finding each time the best practicing solutions to technical and musical difficulties. In this way, practicing at home becomes not another heavy duty to add to an already busy schedule, but repeating a creative, searching experience, that is never the same.

Books: the use of a method is often suggested in the first years. Later I advice classical pieces to be studied. Also, Pop or Rock songs that the student would like to perform are well accepted, if I think the student can play them.

Hello there!

My name is Antek and i'm a cellist, pianist and composer who graduated from Conservatorium van Amsterdam. As a cellist I've had the pleasure and honour of collaborating with renowned artists such as Hans Zimmer, being part of his 2022 European Tour Orchestra, touring over 15 countries and playing in locations such as London's O2 Arena or Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. I am now mainly active as a performer of contemporary/experimental music, as well as classical music, freelancing in various orchestras in the Netherlands, having played in venues such as Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Concertgebouw or TivoliVredenburg. I offer cello lessons, regardless of the level - whether you are a curious beginner or more advanced player, i'm happy to collaborate and share my knowledge and experience with you, as well as inspire your creativity regarding both playing the right notes, and making artistic choices.

As a composer, I'm currently pursuing a degree at Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. I can help you work on your ideas, and how to write them down, to sound exactly how you want them to sound. That includes tutorials on engraving rules, orchestration, working in DAWs (Ableton) and using sheet music software (Sibelius, MuseScore), as well as building your craft and workflow. Hello! My name is Jade. I’m an undergraduate student and have been playing the piano for 15 years; I graduated from the Geneva Conservatory.

In my lessons, I focus on practice and improving technique. Although I have prepared lessons and pieces, I give my students a great deal of freedom in choosing their sheet music, the intensity of their lessons, and the type of instruction they need. I see the piano as a passion and, above all, an art form which, as such, shouldn’t become a source of stress or frustration.
