Besides being a professional viola player, I am also studying teaching and music education, in order to become a better teacher and adequate my approach according to the individual needs of each student.
I have lots of experience teaching children and adults in my country and in teaching children here in the Netherlands!
I will also give you all the support to find the right instrument for yourself!

About Me

Hi,

I am Bárbara, currently master student at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague with bachelors degree in viola at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and São
Paulo State University (Brazil). I am a music teacher and performer based in Amsterdam.

I started to play at the age of 8.
Since 2012, I have been working as violin and viola teacher, with student of different ages and levels.
In my in Conservatorium van Amsterdam from 2017, I combined my viola performance studies with music education and violin teaching subjects. Now, I am coursing the Master of Instrumental Teaching & Learning in Royal Conservatoire The Hague, again deepening my teaching skills.

With an extensive orchestral experience, I have aperformed in tours in France, Netherlands and USA with the Youth Orchestra of São Paulo State and had the chance to attend several masterclasses with renowned names and importante music summer courses.

I provide private violin and viola lesson for students of all ages in Amsterdam.

Adrian (1997) is an Amsterdam-based guitarist from Caracas, Venezuela that is part of the up-coming generation of the Dutch Jazz scene. Winner of the Erasmus Jazz Prize 2019, Adrian has performed at top festivals such as North Sea Jazz Fest, North Sea Round Town and Grachtenfestival, and has also shared the stage with established and emerging musicians such as Benjamin Herman, Stefan Lievestro and Alessandro Fongaro.

Adrian (1997) started classical guitar lessons at age 11 but quickly switched to electric guitar because of his passion for rock music. At age 14, he was admitted to the TJC Music School in his hometown, Caracas, where he studied jazz guitar, graduating with honours at age 17. While living in Venezuela, Adrian started playing professionally at 16 years old, being called a “young promise”. In 2017, Adrian moved to The Netherlands to study at Codarts University of the Arts, later transferring to Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2019 to study with Jesse van Ruller, Reinier Baas, Martijn van Iterson, Maarten van der Grinten, and many more. Adrian is currently living in Amsterdam.

My goal is to keep my students enthusiastic, challenged and inspired but in an easy-going way.

As a certified drum teacher (Amsterdam Conservatory), I have my own teaching practice in the Q-factory in Amsterdam East/Oostpoort: Drum Practice East. I gave lessons and workshops to students at the HKU, the Conservatory Amsterdam (pop and jazz departments), Conservatorium Utrecht, DSOP Amsterdam, Tiroler Landeskonservatorium Innsbruck and Musikhochschule Franz Liszt Weimar (D).

As a Jazz Trumpet student of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam I offer private lessons for all ages and all levels.
In addition to my studies, I had been offering teaching Trumpet, Music Theory and Piano beginners (of any age), group or private lessons as well. I had been working in several schools in Istanbul teaching those subjects, examining, organizing auditions and helping students to prepare auditions to play in orchestras and schools.
