About Me
I'm thrilled to introduce myself as your prospective clarinet and saxophone teacher. I'm excited to share my love for these beautiful instruments with you.
Experience: I bring years of experience to the table. I have been playing the clarinet and saxophone for over 12 years, honing my skills through extensive practice, performance, and teaching. My journey includes a Masters and Bachelors degree at the Conservatory of Amsterdam; performances in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and New York; the Best Soloist Prize at the Keep an Eye Jazz Award 2022 and lessons to private students which have contributed to my deep understanding of these instruments.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe in fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. Every student is unique, with their own goals, interests, and learning pace. My approach is adaptable, catering to individual needs and aspirations. Whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced player looking to refine your skills, I will tailor my lessons to help you reach your full potential.
What to Expect: In our lessons, you can anticipate a curriculum that covers essential techniques, music theory, and repertoire. We'll work on building a strong foundation in both technical proficiency and musical expression. You'll learn to read sheet music, understand music theory concepts, and develop your ear.
Fun and Enjoyment: Music should be enjoyable and fulfilling. While we'll work to improve your skills, I also believe in making our lessons enjoyable. Playing the clarinet and saxophone should bring you joy, and I'll strive to ignite or reignite your passion for music in every lesson.
Feel free to reach out to me to discuss your goals, ask questions, or schedule your first lesson. Looking forward to making music with you!
