Hi, my name's Alex, and I'm a singer and a film composer. My interests lie in the area of contemporary jazz and electronic music. If you or your friends are interested in immersing themselves in the world of music, I'd be thrilled to have you as one of my students!

I offer the following services, which could be customized to your needs:
- jazz/pop vocals, formation of vocal skills;
- solfège and elementary music theory (theory, harmony);
- transcribing music by ear;
- assistance in preparing for admission to musical professional institutions;
- piano accompaniment;
- jazz vocal/piano improvisation;
- getting to know different musical digital programs, music production, modular synthesis (Logic Pro X, VCV RACK, MuseScore);
- arranging etc.

About Me

I started to sing even before being able to walk (at least my mom tells so) and the confidence of making singing my profession grew stronger year in year out. Jazz came into my life with the recordings of Sarah Vaughan, Bill Evans, and John Coltrane, and since that moment I realized that I want to devote my life to music. In jazz, I was attracted by the freedom of self-expression and its diversity. Wanting to know the depth of this musical language, I started to discover piano playing and jazz improvisation, taking Bill Evans, McCoy Tyner, Barry Harris, and others as a benchmark for me. Now I would want to share my knowledge which I got through years of experience and theory with other people who are as fond of music as I am. During the lesson, we will dive into the basics of rhythm, harmony, and improvisation and later will elaborate our skills according to these topics trying to find a way of expressing ourselves through the sound.

- «The Five-Week Summer Performance Program» in Berklee College of Music, Boston, the USA (2014);
- St. Petersburg Mussorgsky College of Music (2015- 2019);
- Currently a student of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Jazz Vocal, Bachelor.

Experience / Qualifications

- Teaching experience in Saint - Petersburg;
- Over 160 concerts on the territory of Russia and Kazakhstan (2015 - 2020);
- Participation in jazz vocal competition «Kolomna JAM», Saint- Petersburg as a member of the jury;
- Holding the master - class (theme «I Sing Jazz»), Saint- Petersburg;
- Participating in the festival of jazz male singing «Jazzman», Saint- Petersburg;
- Performing with Mussorgsky Big Band on a regular basis;
- Working as a spokesman and member of organisation crew of the «Boztorgai» international Competition, Almaty, Kazakhstan.
