I graduated from the Conservatory in Arnhem (ArtEZ) in 2013. Since then I have been working as an actor, singer and pianist (mostly theater). In addition to playing always been active as a teacher. Many group lessons but also individual lessons. Currently active as a keyboard player for the Aunt Joke Karaoke Band.

Did you always want to learn cello from zero and never had the opportunity to start, or do you want to improve your already learned skills? Then I can definitely help you! I am a Spanish cellist based in Amsterdam since 2008 with more than 10 years experience of teaching.

I offer lessons for all ages and levels, in English, Dutch and Spanish.

Here is a small resume of the lessons I offer:

1. Cello and/or baroque cello lessons: All levels.
The lessons will be focused on two basic elements: Technic of the instrument and developing musical skills.

2. Music theory: Beginners.
Basics of music, such as reading notes, rules and analysis. This field is as important as learning the instrument for it complements the process in music performance.

3. Music History: All levels
The lessons will give a full understanding of the historical development of music, with a complete historical context of the arts, politics and society. These lessons are a key point to students of conservatories and musicians to complement their music knowledge.

You'll learn how to use the voice in the proper way, starting from your natural speech and developing it to find your own sound. I have experience in both Pop and Jazz styles (a Bachelor in Jazz Singing and a degree in Jazz Composition), so it's possible to study songs from both these repertoires. As a live musician at any level, it's crucial to play well with your band. Playing in a group requires paying attention to how everyone sounds as a whole. This can involve sound, arrangement, interplay, dynamics, timing, performance—an endless number of things! All sorts of small things can make a band sound good or bad. I can help you pinpoint where there's room for improvement or guidance.

Together, we can determine which type of support is right for you. This could include assistance with the topics mentioned above, song selection, or creating a rehearsal plan. It could be a one-time session to get things started or help you move forward, or it could be a fixed period.

I graduated from the conservatory in 2022 and have been working full-time as a bassist and producer (and coach) ever since. I also have experience leading bands, which requires a certain level of oversight, which I find useful when coaching other bands.
