From 25.88 £ /h
Have you ever wanted to learn the theory behind music? The way music is built with all its different parameters? Did you ever want to write or arrange music, only to find yourself not having any idea how to get started?
In this course for people of all ages and all skills, I can help you from the absolute basics such as reading sheet music and piano rolls to writing your first piece or analysing how that piece by Mozart actually works. As a Master student composition student at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, I have the experience and exposure to tackle things of all sorts of complexities, ranging from pop to Baroque to late romanticism and early atonality, from a simple piano piece to a full-fledged orchestra work.

Extra information
If you would like to compose digitally, please let me know the DAW or notation software of your choice. If you don't have any experience with either, we will look at free options such as MuseScore and Reaper. While lessons via webcam are possible, I would strongly suggest meeting in person.

About Me
Since my first year at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, I opted to take as many courses as I can in order to have a broad view. As a result, I finished the specialisation subjects in Harmony, Analysis and Electronic Music and am currently in my last year of Counterpoint studying fugues. As an instrumentalist, I took part in many orchestra projects that allowed me to grasp not just the sound of orchestration, but also the individuality and psychological aspects that come with it.
