About Me
Hi!
I'm Tiit, a musician from Estonia, currently living in Antwerp, Belgium.
Growing up in a family of musicians I was surrounded by music from the very beginning. I started taking piano lessons at the age of 6 but at the age of 12, I moved on to study percussion.
I believe that music is for everyone to enjoy. (Although I prefer music which is created by humans.)
I'm not restricted to any specific style but rather work based on each student's preference and personality.
Even though the quickest way to teach a song is to just show you how it's done I find it also important for the student to be able to learn music by themselves. That means that we will also learn to read and understand sheet music and also learn songs by ear.

The world of percussion offers an endless array of possibilities. My teaching will depend on the student: whether they would like to specialize in certain instrument(s) or styles or become an all-round percussionist who is not afraid to dive in wherever music takes them. I think it's best for consistent development to have a plan with a goal in mind. Where do you want to be in 10 years? How to get there? What do we need to do for it each year, each month, and each week? At the beginning of each lesson, I would like to listen to what the student has prepared, and from there, we will figure out what steps are needed to make it even better.
