About Me

Hi! I’m Lorenzo, a professional classical guitarist and experienced teacher based in Barcelona.
I offer personalized guitar lessons for all levels — from beginners to advanced — focusing on technique, interpretation, and expression.
I’ve been teaching music since I was seventeen. Over time, I’ve gained experience in sharing with my students those subtle details that are often overlooked or taken for granted, and my students have always shown excellent results. Of course, I know that learning to play an instrument is extremely challenging and requires a lot of time, which is why it’s important to be guided by someone who can help you understand — in the simplest yet deepest way — the reasons behind certain finger positions, the posture of your back, legs, and arms, and specific technical or musical choices. All the years I spent studying at the conservatory and the academy, along with my experience on stage, have helped me understand these small but crucial details that make all the difference when it comes to playing.

I'm a musician, composer and producer from the UK with more than 20 yrs teaching experience.
I give classes for guitar, bass guitar, theory, composition, arranging, mixing and production in English with intermediate Spanish.

I have my own approach to teaching drawn from my own inspirational teachers and the experience of teaching, performing and recording for over 30 years.

I adapt to the needs and goals of the student, but a typical 1st year class for guitar would involve focusing on a variety of pieces in different styles and suggestions of any helpful technical exercises, reading, rhythm playing, expanding chord/harmony knowledge and supporting theory. In time I would include new techniques as required by the piece and style and improvisation/composition to follow the student’s interest.

I have developed an accelerated program with the goal of the student playing their favourite pieces as soon as possible. My constant aim is to find the right balance between student motivation and a thorough musical grounding, equipping the student for the future.

Pierpaolo is a guitarist and composer born in 1995 from central Italy (Le Marche, Recanati). At the age of 12 he picked up a classical guitar for the first time (which he still owns) and since then he has not stopped playing, practicing and inventing with it. He currently lives in Barcelona (Spain) where he mainly teaches rock, jazz and flamenco. In fact, his studies range from jazz (he has 2 degrees in jazz guitar) to flamenco. In Barcelona Pierpaolo attends the ESMUC conservatory. "I am Pierpaolo, a professional guitarist with a Bachelor and Master's degree in Jazz Guitar (110 cum laude) and with experience studying other styles such as blues, rock, pop, funk, latin, fusion, flamenco. I have 10 years of experience as a teacher and have played at many festivals and events as a guitarist, in ensembles ranging from solo guitar to orchestra and big band. My passion for music always makes me have fun in classes with my guitar students. I also have experience in the recording studio as an author, composer, arranger, producer and collaborator."
