I finished a music school and my speciality was the piano. I did an expanded course that lasted 13 years, 3-4 times per week and, of course, all included : sight reading, notation, music theory etc. Since 7 years old, I went to several national piano competitions all around the world every year until I was accepted at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. There, I’m studying vocals and music industry in general. I won a lot of first, second, grand prices as marks of my achievements. I’m from Lithuania, I was working there as a private piano and singing teacher for a couple of years. During a gap year I took, I was teaching as well. My mum is a piano teacher, I was in this sphere for all my life. As I was teaching, I had international students from Germany and Italy. It makes me experienced in English language teaching. In this class I will teach you the parts of music theory you need for ABRSM, but also how to use it in your compositions or performances, a tool all musicians should have in their arsenal.

I'm available to teach any level of Music Theory from Grade 1-8, or provide any help with GCSE or A-Level Music exams. I can also give lessons on Aural and Sight-reading if desired. In this class we can cover the basics of Music Theory, or prepare students for Grade 5 exams or other assesments.

I ́m a profesional Opera Singer, who is also giving lessons in vocal technique since 7 years. This class is for begginers and intermedium level singers who want to improve the manage of their voices. The class starts with different vocalizations and breathing exercises to warm the body and start to understand how the voice works. Then we start to sing in order to apply the new concepts to different songs. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable. From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.
