I am French and studied in France before coming to the UK to finish my master’s degree. Additionally, I have a teaching certificate in English as a Second Language. I know how difficult it is to speak a different language from your native one. Personally, I went through the process myself, so I can help you overcome any barriers. The goal is for you to learn and improve your English or French. I gained over 20 years of experience by teaching French and English to children from 6 to 18 years old. More than anything, it gives me satisfaction to see my students express themselves with confidence in the language they’ve learnt. For me, it’s more than just a job, it’s a personal achievement.

I’m a KCL student studying Politics, with an A* in English A-Level. I’ve worked with children of all ages during my time at Kumon and am well versed in the GCSE and A-Level English curriculum. During the sessions, I will work to supplement the child’s school curriculum by providing them with past papers and additional resources. I will also provide homework material, which will be marked in time to review in the next session.

This course will show the use of simple conversation and the most basic of grammar in Norwegian and enable students to conduct themselves in normal situations. Students will be able to speak and write at least well enough to be understood well enough.

For all enthusiasts who want to learn German! This class will build your basis and the focus will be on grammar and vocabulary. I will develop engaging lesson plans which will explore different aspects of the German culture, including German art, history, geography and culture. This way you will not only expand your vocabulary and grammar knowledge but also get to know German culture better. We will also do speaking and practice pronunciation. The difficulty of the class will depend on your level. Depending on your interest we will focus on the aspect(s) you want to develop and practice more.

English is an essential subject but can grow to become extremely daunting for young students that struggle to get to grips with it. I specialise in tutoring primary school English students, assisting in creative writing, reading comprehensions and all aspects of exam preparation. This class will allow each young student to gain confidence in a difficult subject and improve their marks at school. I have tutored children who struggle with dyslexia, ADHD and many different challenges, so don't be put off if your child really feels averse to English!

Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice.
