Let's learn music theory at your own pace! Whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your existing knowledge, my Music Theory for All Levels course is designed to be flexible. I've taught many topics, from the basics of reading music, college level ear-training, Renaissance and Baroque counterpoint, Classical harmonic analysis, Jazz harmony, and 20th century techniques. We’ll use your prefered music and instruments (or voice!) to make the learning process relevant and enjoyable. Whether you're a curious beginner, a performer looking to refine your knowledge, or a composer aiming for a deeper dive, this course is for everyone.

I am an experienced and enthusiastic guitar tutor from Leeds, England, living in Berlin. I have a bachelor’s degree in jazz guitar from Leeds College of Music although I also play and teach rock, pop, funk, folk, and indie music. In lessons, I aim to get students to play something they know as soon as possible in order to get excited about progress early on. We balance this with paying attention to proper technique and having one eye on the theory behind what we are playing to broaden your understanding of how music works. I am actively engaged in playing within the music scene and have a real excitement for all types of music, whether it’s learning your first chords on guitar or working on improvisation or music theory. We'll go at the right pace for you and achieve your goals together. I have experience teaching all ages and abilities of students, having taught in primary and secondary schools as well as private tuition for adults. From complete beginners to preparing a student for their college auditions. Lessons are tailored to suit the needs of the student, in order to have lessons that push you to learn to the best of your ability whilst still being fun and musical.

Hi, I'm Chris, 33 years old and would be happy to explore the guitar with you. I completed my Bachelor of Music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Mannheim and mainly play jazz, funk, blues, rock and samba/bossa nova. When teaching, on the one hand it is very important to me to respond to your wishes and musical goals and on the other hand to convey instrumental-specific basics. And all in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of space for trying things out and having fun with the music, because that's what making music is all about!

To get a feel for the vast world of audio production, it can be helpful to get an introduction. At the same time, my focus is less on the technical side and more on creating sound pieces. However, the basic functions of Ableton and Logic, as well as all common effects, will be explained. We will learn about different types of microphones and get an introduction to mixing. If you're interested in singing, I can also offer coaching for that, as well as an introduction to vocal production. The course is designed for beginners and those with a bit of an advanced level. Feel free to write to me about your expectations, and I can put together a suitable approach. I'm a freelance composer and sound artist who works primarily in songwriting and scoring, as well as in the art field with many electronic elements. I bring many years of experience and have worked with several professional producers in various professional recording studios. Those purely interested in techno and related genres will probably feel more comfortable in a different course. The courses take place in my own recording studio at home, and the equipment there can be shared. and we will take recordings that you are free to use.

Hi, I’m Cassie—a British jazz saxophonist, award-winning composer, and Trinity Laban Conservatoire graduate, now based in Berlin. I’m currently looking for a couple of private saxophone and/or composition students who are keen to develop their skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Saxophone Lessons: With a strong background in Jazz and improvised music, I offer saxophone lessons tailored to each student’s needs—whether you’re preparing for ABRSM or Royal College exams (or other equivalent examination boards), exploring jazz improvisation, or just playing for fun. As a performer, I’ve played at major festivals and venues across the UK, USA & Europe such as Glastonbury Festival (UK, SXSW (USA) and Paris Jazz Festival (FR). My lessons focus on notation, orchestration, and arranging—whether you’re composing for small ensembles or larger-scale works. I hold a BMus Hons degree in composition from Trinity Laban Conservatoire (London) where I studied with American composer Stephen Montague and British composer Andrew Poppy.
