Individual lessons at my flat in Rue Breydel (Schuman). I have a long experience of teaching, as well as playing and giving lecture recitals. One of my pupils came second in the 'Grand Concours pour les Amateurs' in Paris, and others won prizes for the highest Grade 8 ABRSM.
But I am also experienced at teaching beginners and helping them to read music, using new and old methods. If you want to play the piano, then I am ready to help you!

About Me
I have a long experience of piano teaching, and many of my former pupils are now professional musicians. There is a section on my teaching, my concerts, and my conducting, and a video of giving lectures in English and French. I prefer to give piano lessons in English as I use the English system of notation.

I live in the center of Brussels and I am looking for pupils at all stages - from beginners to piano concertos.
Education
ARCM with Honours and special harmony paper before five years (1965-70) at the Royal College of Music in London, where I won several prizes. A year studying at the Liszt Academy in Budapest (1971). Diploma at the International conducting course at Kromeriz in Czechoslovakia (2016).
Experience / Qualifications
I have given concerts in Britain and France: solos recitals, concertos chamber music, and accompaniment. A performance of Mozart's concerto K488 was broadcast on BBC Radio 3. I have made two CDs, one of French chamber music, including the trio for oboe, bassoon, and piano by Poulenc, and the Story of Babar, the Elephant; and I recorded Schubert's Winterreise with the French bass Marc Fouquet in 2006. More recently, I have been conducting choirs, with an acclaimed performance of the Brahms Requiem in 2016. Another choir sang Mass at the Vatican in 2017.

Private Piano Lessons – Open to Everyone in Maastricht and around!

I offer private piano lessons to students of all ages and levels.

I am a Lithuanian pianist and a recent graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Alongside my international concert and competition experience, I have over three years of teaching experience, working with students from age 6 to adulthood and from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

For me, teaching is about much more than learning the notes. Every student has a different way of thinking, learning, and expressing themselves, so I always adapt my lessons to the individual. I value curiosity, mutual respect, open communication, and creating an environment where students feel supported and encouraged to develop at their own pace.

Since 2026, I have also been studying Psychology at Maastricht University. This has deepened my interest in how we learn and has naturally become part of my teaching. I believe that psychological awareness, self-reflection, and creativity are just as important as technical skills. My goal is to continue exploring the intersection of psychology, music, and education, bringing together scientific and artistic perspectives on learning.

I welcome complete beginners, those returning to the piano after a break, and advanced pianists looking to deepen their musicianship. The repertoire, methodology, and pace of the lessons are always tailored to your goals, interests, and level of commitment.

Alongside piano playing, I also teach music theory and harmony, helping students build a broader understanding of music and develop lasting musical independence.

Lessons are available in English and French.

FR:

Each student has their own goals, tastes, and learning style. Therefore, I tailor the course to each student's level and expectations.

For a beginner, we gradually work on posture, technique, reading and the first notions of music theory while quickly playing pieces.

For a more advanced student, the work may be more oriented towards interpretation, technique, musical analysis, accompaniment or preparation for an exam or audition.

Music theory is naturally integrated into the piano course so that it can be used directly for musical practice: reading a score, understanding the rhythm, the tones, the chords and the structure of a piece.

I also offer personalized support for preparing for conservatory entrance exams.

NL:

Elke leerling heeft zijn de haar eigen doelstellingen, muzikale voorkeuren en manier van leren. Daarom stem ik elke les af op het level en de verwachtingen van de leerling.

For beginners we work with you on a sound track, techniques, notes and the basis of music theory, we know that this is the music you play.

You can also focus on interpretation, technology, music analysis, piano performance and audit examination.

Music theory is a natural way to handle piano music, there are two strings that tend to be used in music practices: light scores, rhythms can be played, toonaarden in akkoorden are included in the structure of the music.

I also have people who are interested in your teaching exams at the conservatory.

IN :

Each student has their own goals, musical preferences, and way of learning. I therefore tailor each lesson to their level and individual expectations.

For beginners, we progressively work on posture, technique, reading music, and the basics of music theory, while quickly learning and playing actual pieces.

For more advanced students, the lessons can focus more on interpretation, technique, musical analysis, accompaniment, or preparation for an exam or audition.

Music theory is naturally integrated into the piano lessons so that it directly supports musical practice: reading a score, understanding rhythm, keys, chords, and the structure of a piece.

I also offer personalized guidance for preparing entrance examinations for conservatories.
