Music forms a great soundtrack in this journey called life, and as a passionate musician and a versatile music teacher, my aim is to inspire others to develop their talents and appreciate the joy of music.

With over 15 years of experience, I teach singing, guitar, music theory, and music production to students that are eager to learn and broaden their skills. My main goal is to create tailored lesson plans to match the needs and ambitions of every student, as we are all different and most importantly we learn in different ways.

Whether you’re a beginner or you already play and sing and want to refine your skills, I will teach you the basics all the way through to mastering what’s needed to become an accomplished player and musician. I will guide you through the areas that you need to improve while also showing you how to make the most of your talent.

During my MA at RADA we trained in various theatre techniques and explored vocal and physicality range to create the best version of ourselves. I also have 10+ years experience within high end sales and retail which I would love to bring to the table to help you with your clientele.

I am an actor, singer/songwriter, theatre maker & teacher specialising in psychophysical performance and devising. This singing class has a holistic approach. Alongside learning technique and different genres we will also look at how to find your unique voice, making your singing a tool for expressing a story, a character or yourself. The class is for anyone who wants to expand their potential as a singer, find more confidence & truthful connection in their singing.

In the singing lesson we look at breathing, vocal technique, language, expression and interpretation. I take much pleasure in watching a student grow and facilitating their development and helping them on their own path. The most important thing to me is that they enjoy using their voice and telling a story through music.

I have recently graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with a Master of Music degree with distinction. Through the developing of my private practice, I am becoming increasingly interested and deeply passionate about teaching singing and singing pedagogy. For me, music – and especially singing – is all about communication, between performer and audience, between composer and performer/audience, between teacher and student; it is about conveying a story and human emotions that people can relate to and that give us a sense of connection and belonging. My belief is that everyone can learn to sing when taught properly and holistically and can experience the joy of discovering the unique qualities of their individual voice. This is a joy which I share with my students and why I find teaching so rewarding. My experience is predominantly (but not exclusively) with children and I love to watch as their love for their voice grows.

What you can expect:
I believe it is important to teach with an emphasis on technique and vocal health, so from the first few lessons students learn about the body and the way the voice works. I address this through exercises and breathing techniques as well as songs appropriate to age and stage; (usually based around the appropriate ABRSM Grades). I strive to create a fun, nurturing environment where learning and confidence can be optimised.
I currently study with Sophie Grimmer, a highly respected and accomplished vocal teacher based in London who has performed at venues across Europe and London such as ENO. Therefore everything I teach my own students is informed by the world class tuition I am lucky enough to receive, (but of course adjusted so that it is age appropriate). This ensures that the tuition I give is always current and reflects the ever evolving industry standards for vocal tuition.

My TV credits include over 200 episodes of playing Dr Caleb Knight on BBC's hit series Casualty 2014-2020. 24 episodes of hit teen soap Hollyoaks playing Father Francis. For film i had lead roles in the box office smash British film STREETDANCE 3D and the Film Festival hit EVE.

In 30min or 1 hour sessions we will work through the text(if there is a scene to prep or i can provide interesting material) and discuss ways of applying the best techniques to unlock your performances full potential. Whether it be for a big audition or just a bit of fun i will offer a calm and productive environment for you to find creativity and flourish.

I have trained extensively in the Meisner technique as well as a more Method approach at Guildhall Music & Drama School. There really isn't a set technique i teach from, rather a balance of what works for the individual student as we are human and all work in completely different ways. I am also classically trained and have achieved distinctions in classical voice grades as well as a BA (hons) Music degree from the University of Oxford where I achieved the cohort's highest grade for my performance recital in 2022. I have experience performing in operatic productions, another genre which keen students can gain tuition.
