Logic Pro is a powerful digital audio workstation (DAW) widely used for music production, recording, and sound design. In this introductory lesson, we will cover the basics of setting up a project, navigating the interface, and creating simple tracks.

We will start by setting up a project, adding Software Instrument and Audio tracks, and exploring Apple Loops for quick access to pre-made sounds. We'll also learn to record basic MIDI and audio, perform simple edits, and balance their mix using volume and panning. By the end of this lesson, students will have created a basic project they can save and export, providing a solid foundation for future work in Logic Pro.

Hey! My name is Seán, and I am an Irish singer-songwriter based in London with 2 years of teaching experience. I teach a range of disciplines, including piano, guitar, vocals, songwriting, and music theory. Developing an understanding and knowledge of music theory helps musicians at all levels to perform confidently and interpret the music with ease. In preparing for a music theory exam you grasp the fundamentals of rhythm, harmony and melody which is essential for good musicianship.

If you're taking a Practical or Performance Grade 6, 7 or 8, you must pass Grade 5 or above in Music Theory before you book your exam to make sure that you have the understanding you need to interpret and perform music at these higher grades.

Evie studied music at university in London and has been playing violin and viola for over 20 years. She is interested in a broad range of music, which she hopes to share with students of all ages and abilities in their lessons. As a performer, Evie plays in various settings - folk, jazz, in bands, as well as more typical orchestral and chamber ensembles. Her own musical interest currently lies in folk, baroque music and improvisation.

I am a classically trained pianist with a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Piano and a Master’s degree in Musical Directing, bringing over a decade of experience to both performance and teaching.

With more than 12 years of experience working with adults and children, including those with special needs and learning differences, I have developed a teaching style that is both patient and structured.
