Develop your Piano and Music Theory skills via webcam or in person! :)

I am an active musician based in Bristol where I give piano and music theory lessons. I am a positive person, always open to new experiences, with a friendly, extrovert character who is highly organized, reliable and patient.
I have a great deal of experience in teaching music to both adults and children, individually and in groups.

Due to the variety of ages, levels and goals I teach, I use different methods for each particular group of students:

Students: With intermediate and advanced students I focus more on the mental approach of learning piano. We strongly establish goals and approaches from the start, and I also help with improving technique, music interpretation, awareness of play and music theory. I work more on the psychology of your play to prepare you for meeting greater demands. Through doing so, you learn how to stay passionate about the piano and are ready for every challenge that the future beholds.

Adults: I strongly believe everyone should experience both classical music, restrained by rules and patterns, and the creative freedom of music - endless and never fully explored. Once we’ve gone through this process, together we set a course for what you like the most and want to explore further in your piano journey. My method here is based on deep exploration and making sure students experience and become aware of all music prospects. I help you to set the direction you would like to go and start preparing you for this journey.

Outside of these categories I can assist in reestablishing a previous knowledge and love of piano, if you’re out of practice or your skills need polishing, I’m happy to assist a reintroduction and a revival of your passion.

I focus on helping people find their confidence, passion, and joy from play. My method of teaching is based on using creativity and a unique approach to every single person.
No matter your goal - if you’re looking to master a song or develop the level of your play, I am here to help you with finding your own way of improving and gaining your skills.

All resources and music worksheets are prepared and provided by me for each individual student at each lesson. With younger students I often use small percussion instruments, already in my possession but this can be established within the first lesson, depending on your requirements. If the student is committed to practice independently I have a knowledge of suitable guide books to purchase.

About Me

I am an active musician based in Bristol where I give piano and music theory lessons. I am a positive person, always open to new experiences, with a friendly, extrovert character who is highly organized, reliable and patient. I have a great deal of experience in teaching music to both adults and children, individually and in groups.

I started my journey with teaching as a teenager. I graduated from the State Music School in Poland with a Diploma in Music, specializing in piano, viola, and eurythmics.
I have been trained to teach music in the methods of Emile Jacques-Dalcroze and Carl Orff, as well as the music learning theory of Edwin Gordon.
From childhood on, I have been constantly involved in concerts, events, competitions, exhibitions, theatre, music, dance, and writing.
During my training at Music School, I performed at many concerts and won competitions with The Symphonic Orchestra in countries all around the world such as Saudi Arabia, the Czech Republic and Cyprus.
I have accomplished a variety of music courses specialized in viola and eurythmics for children and recorded educational songs for youth.
I am an active music composer for short movies, videos and games, filmmaker, and screenwriter.

In my method of teaching, I focus on passing knowledge on to students in a proper order, which I organize individually as everyone has different predispositions and needs a particular approach. I don't stick tight to the teaching templates which are not universal and often limit understanding the music and the whole process of improvement. I truly believe that open-mind and ability to easily adapt to any student and situation are the most crucial teaching skills which I hold in high regard as a tutor.

I provide printed exercises and sheet music for my students, depending on their goals and what they would like to play. At the end of the lesson, I also do some improvisations, as it is a great activity for having a lot of fun, being creative, spontaneous and discovering the instrument.
I appreciate open-minded, hard-working students who are willing to practice and experiment with the knowledge I share with them.

My multiple skills and interests give me a wide perspective when it comes to understanding music, art and performance. This helps me to enhance the experience of those who choose to engage in the creative process.
Sharing my knowledge and connecting with people through music and performance is my great passion. It is my vocation and nothing gives me more joy.

Music lessons / Piano lessons for students in Bristol
Music lessons & piano lessons are known to be creative language. It is capable of developing children’s motor control skills and would definitely improve brain activity levels. I am a trained music educator with 11 years of experiences and would love to be imparting my skills and knowledge to yourself or your children. Parental partnership in my students learning is very important as it would help in developing the children interest level for music.

Sion
Music Composition and Music Technology - from Songwriting and Dance Music through to Contemporary Classical.
As a composer and producer with wide ranging skills, I balance tailoring my lessons to each individual pupil, while also looking to broaden their musical abilities with relatable knowledge. For example, teaching classical composers recording and mixing techniques to help them create recordings of their works, or teaching dance music producers jazz harmony to create interesting chord sequences. I am also able to provide support for GCSE/BTec/A Level courses.

Piano Lessons with the Best Colombian Young Pianist!
Considered “Best Colombian Young Pianist 2018” after winning the first prize in the national piano competition in Colombia. I have a Master's degree from Liszt Ferenc in Budapest, Hungary, and a Master's degree from Columbus State University in the United States. Besides my career as a pianist, I have over 10 years of experience in teaching Piano, music theory, and history for all ages and categories. Even if you are a beginner we can make it! I have a personal method where I combine both classical and commercial repertoire depending on the student’s preferences. I usually play four hands with my students as well and organize at least one concert a year with all my students where they can meet and share their experiences. If you are an enthusiast about piano competitions, we can also work on that together. I will guide and support you through all the steps of the learning experience.

Aurel
Drum lessons with qualified and experienced teacher - all styles, all levels
Hello! My name is Aurel and I am a French Amsterdam-based drummer. Although currently specialized in Jazz music, I have studied various esthetics, and Pop and Rock music, in particular, are part of my background (I played in several pop-rock bands). Therefore I am able to teach a broad panel of music styles. I also have many drum methods and charts at my disposal, and have experience in teaching children from the age of 6, as well as teenagers and adults. Lessons and teaching method: I always adapt to the student's tastes and learning profiles. This is why, during the first lesson, and on a regular basis afterwards, I always take time to discuss with my students (or their parents if they are very young) to figure out together the path they want or need to follow. I will use charts and methods for those who need visual support to assimilate the skills or teach by ear and by demonstrating to the ones who feel more comfortable this way. I also play electric guitar and can jam with my students, which is a great tool for developing band playing skills or simply to have a good time. For those eager to make significant progress, I offer consistent and serious monitoring, with practice recommendations. I can for instance prepare a student for an audition or an entrance exam in a conservatory. If you are willing to improve your understanding of rhythm in general, you can also benefit from my knowledge of Indian Karnatic rhythm concepts, one of the most complete traditional approaches to rhythm. Students who simply want to learn at their pace, to have fun and unwind, are definitely welcome too! About me: In addition to my jazz drums bachelor and master degrees from the conservatory of Amsterdam (CvA), which included a thorough pedagogical training and a specialization in Indian Karnatic techniques, I benefit from 4 years of experience as an employed drum teacher in two French associative music schools (Ecole de musique de Nangis and Conservatoire des Deux Rives, Moret-sur-Loing). I am also an active musician, both on the Dutch and the French scene. My trio mainly tours in France and has played at venues such as the Sunside (Paris), or participated in competitions like the Keep An Eye International Jazz Award. I am also the co-leader of the sextet Chai Masters, finalist of several European competitions (Leiden Jazz Award, Golden Jazz Trophy in Lille, France, 7 Virtual Jazz Contest). Recently, the band was part of Keep An Eye The Records's finalists (March 2022). Looking forward to meeting you and passing on my know-how to you!

Federico
Classical and Jazz Piano, and Composition Tutoring
I am a composer, pianist, teacher, and PhD researcher currently based in Berlin. I hold a bachelor's degree in jazz piano from the Conservatory of Vicenza, Italy (full marks and honours), a master degree in composition at the University of Leeds (with Merit), and I'm now finishing my PhD in composition at Leeds. In 2011, I attained a scholarship as promising student of the Conservatory of Vicenza. From 2006 to 2009 I was volunteer at a special needs-school, using music as a form of therapy. From 2013 to 2015 I studied Piano at the Conservatory ‘Prince Claus’ in Groningen, The Netherlands where I worked mostly as a performer. In 2019 my CD ‘Breath’ was released by British label Another Timbre. My pieces have been broadcasted by Keith F’eM, Concertzender Radio, and Radio 3 and my scores have been published in IM–OS Improvised Music-Open Scores and THE MASS. I've been teaching piano, music theory, improvisation, and composition for 12 years now. When teaching I always attempt to organise targeted lessons that cover varying musical aspects depending on the students' skills and preferences. I teach either online or at my place in Moabit, Berlin.

Piano and Guitar Classes for Entry levels, Beginners, and Intermediates
I teach Entry level, Beginner, and Intermediate Piano and Guitar lessons. I focus on different styles, techniques, and rhythms, with a broad base of musical genre. These classes are designed for aspiring musicians with some musical background and also those with little or none. The aim of each lesson is to keep the student at the peak of each of their abilities by giving both challenging new pieces and reinforcing and expanding their own musical knowledge. I also put some emphasis on incorporating students' own personal musical tastes and styles to bring their own passion to the music they want to play.

Gema
Learn Piano and Improvisation and practice other languages :)
The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. I'm a classical pianist, but I am opened to other musical styles. What I want you to get from your lessons with me, is not only a huge knowledge of theorical stuff or a great technique, I would like to show you my musical world, the imagination and inner exploration that is required to understand and to love music in a whole new level. Once you have found them, it will be very hard to quit playing! The class duration: You can choose! 20 minutes (Great for the youngest : 3 years old) 30 minutes (Ideal for young beginners from 4 years old) 45 minutes (Intermediate+ adult beginners) 1 hour (Intermediate and combined with some Music Theory) I use different methods depending on: 1) The goals of my student 2) The language that we will use on class 3) Age and musical preferences: I start to teach children from 3 years old, we make games and they learn to play through musical stories that I have created throughout my pedagogical career.

Teaching music, solfege, piano and oriental and western music theories via the Internet and for all ages
Studies have shown that listening to music makes an individual feel happy, helps him regulate his emotions, and helps him relax, and studies have indicated that listening to music he likes or likes causes the brain to release a chemical called dopamine, which has positive effects on mood, and music helps to feel emotions. Strong, such as sadness, fear, and joy, music has the ability to improve mood and human health.[1] Improve verbal and visual skills Several studies have indicated that teaching music at an early age stimulates a child’s brain in several ways that help him improve communication skills, visual skills, and verbal skills. ; One study looked at children aged four to six years who were given musical training in rhythm, voice, and melody.

Giorgia
Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level
I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Sergio
Higher Graduate (with masters) in Cello and Conducting teaches music at all levels
My teaching method is scrupulously adapted to each student I have, regardless of the subject to work on (musical language, cello, music history, analysis, conducting, etc.) I always apply the Belgian teaching model, where I trained with my master's degrees in Conducting (Antwerp) and Historical Cello (Brussels). According to this model, the main thing is a living and practical teaching, taking understanding and not memory as the main learning engine.

María
Cours de violoncelle pour tous! / Cello lessons for everyone! / ¡Clases de Cello para todos! / Cellolessen voor iedereen!
Hello to everyone! My name is María, I am a Venezuelan Cellist. All my musical education was inside the musical program "El Sistema" in Venezuela. This education was based on preparing myself as a better human being though playing cello in orchestras, chamber music and as soloist. I am current studying my Master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with Jeroen Reuling. In what consist my lessons? Cello classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), it does not matter if you have never played cello before or if you are already studying, the important thing is to help you achieve the goals you want with this beautiful instrument. To have better results with practice, if it is necessary to help you with music theory, I will help you. As well, if you're looking for help in orchestral excerpts for auditions, I'm here for you! For kids, parental support is also important during some lesson, we are all a team and we need to work together to achieve the goals! Classes can be in person at your house or mine (just in Brussels, Belgium) or via videocall (Skype, Zoom, etc). The schedules are planned according to the time of the student and the teacher. Looking forward to meeting you and work together! Maria.
