Maths, Physics, Chemistry A-Level and GCSE. Test Prep Tutoring. General Problem Solving Tutoring.

Specialized tutoring for maths, physics and chemistry A-Level's and GCSE's. I like to fuse better exam performances (improving exam techniques for example) with a deeper understanding of the subject.

"Give a student proper exam technique, and you teach him for a test. Teach a student to think, and you teach him for a lifetime." Both approaches are valid, but I believe I add substantial value to students education by developing a deeper understanding of a subject in addition to testing practice.

I also provide general problem solving tutoring beneficial for professional tests, school entry exams and those who just want to improve their critical thinking.

About Me

My Profile:
I love science; apparently I talk about it too much according to my girlfriend. Currently studying towards my PhD, I have been through the education system and understand the value of personalized learning. "Give a student better exam technique, and you teach him for a test. Teach a man to think, and you teach him for a lifetime." Good exam technique is important, but I like to add value to a students education by improving their understanding of the subject matter.

Students profile:
I solely look for students with positive attitudes. With this I believe I can add value to a students education, whatever their goal or ability.

Relevant experience:
-Teaching Assistant for a universities first year engineering class (Imperial College London).
-Tutored 11 year old maths for St Paul's school entry exam.
-IOP Publishing, Student Contributor.

Francesca
Mathematics Tutoring at GCSE, A-level, BSc and MSc Level
I tutor Mathematics at GCSE, A-level, BSc and MSc level. A bit about me and why I would love to be your tutor in mathematics! I am currently pursuing my PhD in Artificial Intelligence at University College London, where my research focuses on applying AI to enhance energy efficiency in the built environment. Prior to my doctoral studies, I earned a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics from Warwick University. I also completed an MSc in Statistics and an MSc in Applied Biotechnology and Biosciences, both from Imperial College London, with Merit. My other academic achievements include A* A* A grades in Further Mathematics, Mathematics, and Biology A-Levels, along with 12 A* grades at GCSE in various subjects, including FSMQ Mathematics, and OCR Additional Mathematics. I also achieved a Merit in Advanced Extension Award Mathematics (AEA). In terms of tutoring, I have some experience tutoring GCSE Sciences and Mathematics, as well as A-level Biology and A-level Mathematics. Currently, I am in the process of becoming a Postgraduate teaching assistant at UCL. As part of this training, I actively teach several lectures and workshops each week in mathematics and computer science at MSc and BSc levels. Additionally, I offer career coaching for individuals seeking finance-related internships and preparing for interviews.

Humna
GCSE O-levels Mathematics and Additional Mathematics Tutoring
In my classes the students will be a part of an interactive session of solving time-sensitive short questions as a brainstorming exercise, proceeding with covering topics from the start of the syllabus, solving questions as we move on and understanding the difficult level that the student is easily able to pass. This will be followed by recognising the topics that the student is finding difficult and then explaining them through short lectures and diagrams, helping the student have a better grasp at the concepts. I will ensure constant feedback after each of my classes to understand the students problems and tailoring my lessons according to that. Moreover the students' progress will be monitored and tracked through short weekly assessments based on past paper questions allowing the student to be comfortable with the exam-style questions and avoid falling for the exam pressure. Please feel free to reach out if you have further questions and I hope to teach you soon!

Giancarlo
GCSE maths/science tuition and exam mentorship to guarantee A* (8-9 score) across the board
Hello. I am a University of Oxford medicine graduate. I will mentor you to perform as well as possible across the board, with a focus on maths and science. Exam results are more important than ever. The truth is that most teachers will teach in a typical way which is not conducive to actually performing as well as possible in exams across the board. The methods are too time consuming, boring and inefficient. I will teach students to perform as well as possible in GCSE exams as quickly and efficiently as possible, regardless of your ability. I will distil the content down into the most concise, simple format and combine this with exam techniques and revision strategies which ACTUALLY WORK to help you achieve similar results in any subject. The skills I will teach come from my own experience of achieving 14A*s at GCSE and 5A*s at A-level, even in subjects I was not good at. The skills I teach can be applied to any subject and will help you to learn faster and more efficiently. Anyone can achieve this regardless of current academic performance. I will mentor you continuously and meet once weekly to discuss new strategies, address concerns and ensure you perform as well as possible with minimum stress.

I’ve also had experience with the National Youth Theatre, so can help with audition prep.

Daisy
Mathematics, Computer Programming and Test Prep Coach
My approach is to focus on developing the student’s mastery of the subject through problem based learning, including preparation for exams, while developing the student’s enjoyment of the subject and ability to learn by themselves. Over the years I have worked in different roles requiring a diverse range of skills including coaching/tutoring of high school students in year 9 to year 12 mathematics and coding for primary school children.

Excellent English, Maths, Science and medical/dental school entrance exam tutoring for your child.
I am biomedical Science graduate from Plymouth University. I enjoy teaching and has had previous tutoring experience working with Einstein tutoring, providing one to one tutoring session. I have has students that range from year 7 to GCSE, and have been tutoring in various subjects such as Biology, chemistry , English and Maths. I acknowledge that each individual student has a unique way of learning, and therefore try to cater to their individual needs. I myself have a strong academic background, currently I have received a first class BSc(Hons) degree. In addition to this, I have also achieved 4A*, 3A and 2B including Maths and Science in my GCSE. I usually tend to use various materials for tutoring such as the textbooks, powerpoint presentations and even in some cases seminars and videos that are useful and available online. I tend to get feedback from the student and then try to adapt more to their style of learning. I also make sure that I am aware of the progress a student makes by giving them test and record to their score as an indication to myself and the student of the progress we have made so far. I also tend to start the follow up lesson by usually reviewing what was done in the last lesson. Since I am currently doing a degree, I can only commit to tutoring during the weekends. In summary, I am an highly motivated and experienced tutor, with a background of providing private tuitions to students from diverse background. I am confident that my song desire to help students achieve their goal will go a long way in providing high quality services to your organisation. I assure you that if given a chance, I would do the best to my abilities.I have also started tutoring for UKAT to get into medical school.
