Hello.

I am a University of Oxford medicine graduate. I will mentor you to perform as well as possible across the board, with a focus on maths and science.

Exam results are more important than ever. The truth is that most teachers will teach in a typical way which is not conducive to actually performing as well as possible in exams across the board. The methods are too time consuming, boring and inefficient.

I will teach students to perform as well as possible in GCSE exams as quickly and efficiently as possible, regardless of your ability. I will distil the content down into the most concise, simple format and combine this with exam techniques and revision strategies which ACTUALLY WORK to help you achieve similar results in any subject.

The skills I will teach come from my own experience of achieving 14A*s at GCSE and 5A*s at A-level, even in subjects I was not good at. The skills I teach can be applied to any subject and will help you to learn faster and more efficiently.

Anyone can achieve this regardless of current academic performance. I will mentor you continuously and meet once weekly to discuss new strategies, address concerns and ensure you perform as well as possible with minimum stress.

About Me

Hello!

In my classes the students will be a part of an interactive session of solving time-sensitive short questions as a brainstorming exercise, proceeding with covering topics from the start of the syllabus, solving questions as we move on and understanding the difficult level that the student is easily able to pass. This will be followed by recognising the topics that the student is finding difficult and then explaining them through short lectures and diagrams, helping the student have a better grasp at the concepts. I will ensure constant feedback after each of my classes to understand the students problems and tailoring my lessons according to that. Moreover the students' progress will be monitored and tracked through short weekly assessments based on past paper questions allowing the student to be comfortable with the exam-style questions and avoid falling for the exam pressure. A bit about me and why I would love to be your tutor in mathematics!

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Artificial Intelligence at University College London, where my research focuses on applying AI to enhance energy efficiency in the built environment. Prior to my doctoral studies, I earned a First Class Honours degree in Mathematics from Warwick University. I also completed an MSc in Statistics and an MSc in Applied Biotechnology and Biosciences, both from Imperial College London, with Merit.

My other academic achievements include A* A* A grades in Further Mathematics, Mathematics, and Biology A-Levels, along with 12 A* grades at GCSE in various subjects, including FSMQ Mathematics, and OCR Additional Mathematics. I also achieved a Merit in Advanced Extension Award Mathematics (AEA).

In terms of tutoring, I have some experience tutoring GCSE Sciences and Mathematics, as well as A-level Biology and A-level Mathematics. Currently, I am in the process of becoming a Postgraduate teaching assistant at UCL. As part of this training, I actively teach several lectures and workshops each week in mathematics and computer science at MSc and BSc levels. To facilitate this, I use metaphors and every-day things to construct stories that help students remember concepts and relationships between them.
