Loretta's piano lessons provide a relaxing, fun and professional music platform for children to learn to play piano pieces and read music as well as receiving training on the basic technical skills, such as scales, aural skills and sight-reading skills. Children acquire the abstract Music knowledge and theories through various Music games, images, mnemonics and stories. In addition, if children wish to take graded piano examinations, they will also be prepared and trained for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) from grade 1 up to grade 8.

For beginners: songs, games, improvisation, creation. The links with song and rhythm are very important to have a healthy foundation. The musical notions are approached gradually by experience then by recognition. Reading and writing are brought about by creation and musical composition.

For the more experienced, polyphony and difficult passages can be approached with different tools, by awareness of harmony and melodic modes and polyrhythm. Sometimes it is enough to be aware of simplicity to overcome difficult passages.

I push to go further in the quality of the interpretation with simple means to better understand the music and thus allow more expressiveness and freedom.

I also offer improvisation, harmony,
lessons in musical ensembles, especially vocal polyphony for children, and lessons for specific needs, for example just intonation for singers or other instruments.

Hey! My name is Seán, and I am an Irish singer-songwriter based in London with 2 years of teaching experience. I teach a range of disciplines, including piano, guitar, vocals, songwriting, and music theory.
