A good foundation in music theory and a trained ear are very helpful when learning to compose. If you already have these skills, we can jump straight into writing music together – if not, we can simply work on them along the way.

Ich bin Komponist und studiere derzeit Komposition im Master an der mdw in Wien. In meinem Unterricht ist mir wichtig, auf die individuellen Ziele und Interessen jedes Schülers einzugehen.

I am a composer currently studying for my Master’s degree in Composition at mdw in Vienna. In my lessons, I focus on the individual goals and interests of each student.

Whether it is composition, music theory, ear training, piano, or preparation for an entrance exam, I combine theory with practical and creative work and adapt the lessons to each student’s level and pace.

The rule is simple: don't be afraid to make a fool of yourself! Students are encouraged to try, fail, and overall be proactive in learning new information in bite-sized chunks: all of that in a warm and comforting environment.

Depending on the personal goal of the student, we will learn/refine/explore the following topics:
- Fundamental techniques of playing piano
- How to read and play chords
- How to play an improvised solo
- How to change the underlying harmonies of a song to make it sound cooler (or weirder!)
- Understanding how the musical elements are glued in a song, and if you dare, how to write one yourself
- How to learn music or play music by ear
- Exploring piano-looking-like instruments such as electric keyboards and subtractive synthesizers

A guitar player since early age I have an immense passion for this beautiful instrument and the will to share my knowledge with who ever shares this passion.

I am also a Music Producer and a session player for various projects ranging from blues/country/folk/rock/pop/R&B/soul/jazz.

This course is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of music theory.

Hello, my name is Pia and I'm a flautist. :) I started learning the flute at the age of 8. I loved it right away, so after music school, I continued my studies at the conservatory in Maribor (Slovenia). I then studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. In 2024, I completed my bachelor's degree at the Gustav Mahler Private University in Klagenfurt. There, I earned a degree in concert performance and a degree in instrumental pedagogy.
During my studies, I also completed a specialization course in early music, majoring in transverse flute. Therefore, I also offer lessons for beginners on this beautiful baroque instrument.
During my studies, I had several private students with whom I explored the sounds of the flute and various genres (classical, pop, jazz, folk music, improvisation, etc.). My lessons are relaxed and communicative, full of collaborative music-making.
Classes can also take place online.

My approach is heavily focused on individual student's goals and needs: If you are just starting to play the instrument, for instance, we will focus on learning the basic technique through simple and easy songs.
If you are intermediate or advanced player already, we will focus on refining your already existing knowledge and find improvements to work on. Or, we can focus on specific themes, for instance improvisation, transcribing, technique and so on.

I also enjoy music theory very much and as I too struggled with grasping the concept when I was younger I am now more than happy to be able to present the world of music theory to anyone who is interested.
We can begin with the basics that can help you improve on your instrument or we can dive deeper into more advanced fields of jazz theory.
