During my one to one singing sessions I work with the individual needs of the student and determine what learning approach would best suit them. I have some keen singers and we enjoy singing together and working on favourites for small performances. I also teach guitar in line with the type of music that the student most enjoys and is motivated to play. With my younger students basic action songs and nursery rhymes can form a large part of the sessions, if they enjoy movement and joining in.

About Me

I've been described as quirky and optimistic with a calming energy. I love music, performance and dance, creating things, comedy, reading and writing. As a singer I know my body is my instrument so I take good care of it with a plant based diet and regular yoga.
I love travel, cooking , exploring new places and meeting amazing people.

Education

I have been educated to A-Level. I have 8 GCSE's and two A-levels. I studied Violin up to Guildhall Grade 5. I have completed various workshops at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford.

Experience / Qualifications

I work as a music tutor at a ABA school for children with autism. I have 5 regular students ages ranging from 9 to 17 who come to weekly 30 minute classes. I am teaching guitar, singing or a combination.

I am a recent music graduate from BIMM London and singing teacher at a school based in Essex.

I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years - starting off playing acoustic guitar in my bedroom as a young teen to studying popular music at Barnsley College (via University of Sheffield) and BA Music at University of Chichester. Along the way, I have played in various local bands across the UK and taught electric and acoustic guitar at a variety of levels and age groups.

I have been a part time guitar tutor for 10 years and offer my expertise from anyone who wants to start learning to play the guitar, who needs extra tuition for GCSE/A level/etc or who wants to develop their skills and knowledge on the instrument.

I teach in a very relaxed manner and my lessons are very “student driven” - before tuition starts I need to understand what the student wishes to gain from the lessons to ensure that they can get the best out of my experience and expertise. With the exception of primary school aged children, I prefer for the student to decide what they wish to learn in order for them remain engaged with their practice.

I have been a professional musician for over 10 years. My songs have over 50 million streams and I’ve played in front of thousands of people whilst on tour across the world.

I can teach you whatever you would like to learn, for example: Singing, guitar, songwriting, music production/ mixing. All I need to know from you is what you want to get better at. We will set you a clear goal and make sure you achieve your full potential!
