I have been playing the piano for over 14 years now. I obtained my Diploma of Musical Studies at the Mulhouse Conservatory, then I studied at the Strasbourg Conservatory, after which I entered the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne where I just obtained my Bachelor's degree in musical performance. I am currently continuing my studies at the HEMU in a Master's degree in Pedagogy. During this course, I was able to benefit from the teaching of five different piano teachers who were able to transmit to me an overflowing passion for music. It is this same passion that I am keen to awaken in you! I can teach piano to children as well as adults. My lessons are adapted to each student's goals and tastes: classical repertoire work, pop, piano-vocal accompaniment, introduction to improvisation... My method will allow you to learn to read scores for beginners, find solutions to your technical problems, or even have a better harmonic understanding for the more advanced. All this in the service of music, to allow you to play your favorite pieces! I now have the possibility of giving my lessons in a room at the Lausanne Conservatory if that suits you!

As a pianist graduated from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional d'Annecy, I want to share my knowledge and experience in the piano with students of all ages and all levels. You will have the possibility in this course to remedy your technical problems but especially to learn to make of a piece yours. I put a big emphasis on the interpretation and the way of living a piece.

I have got DipABRSM and have rich experiences in piano competitions. I have taught piano in Hong Kong and I would like to try it here. Improvisation There are different types of piano pieces. I have strong classical background and I am familiar with Mozart (Sonata) and Chopin's works (e.g. ballades, nocturnes, waltz, etc). I also pay attention to modern music and can help you learn all kinds of modern song instantly. Passionate about the violin, with 17 years of practice behind months, I now propose to transmit music. A graduate of the Conservatoire Régional de Grenoble (DEM, France), I have many orchestras, chamber music projects and competitions in my baggage. I listen to the student to choose the pieces and the learning format that corresponds to him. Very adaptable and enthusiastic, I will propose musical projects in line with the student's expectations (group music, single piece, from any era and any style). Welcome to the music class! Here, we are gonna discover the wonders of learning an instrument. From reading note letters, implementing a proper form to sight reading a piece, we are gonna learn in our own pace. If you're just learning music now and it feels like there's a lot to understand, don't worry we're gonna start from the basics. I will help you understand music and its elements. With your dedication and my guidance, I'm positive that we will get a good result!

These lessons are for young and/or inexperienced singers. My lesson plans are tailored towards students' individual goals. For some, this may be learning and embodying an audition song for their school's upcoming theater performance, and for others voice lessons are a first step towards singing healthily in their church choir. In any case, I focus on correcting and building core skills necessary to singing one's best while encouraging and fostering creativity, accountability, and motivation. If considered for a long-term journey towards singing, I will focus particularly on classical techniques to build steady breath control, good posture, and proper vowel and consonant formation. Along with providing repertoire, if the student is ready and wants, there will be opportunities for vocal performance in the Santa Cruz area. I will encourage audio recordings in all lessons to help with future preparations. I will be assigning some homework after every lesson, likely a combination of vocalization exercises, dedicated sheet music practice, and theory homework (if needed). *My first lesson will involve getting to know the student, their goals, and some vocalization to assess vocal level. For singers with minimal/no prior foundational music theory knowledge, I may recommend time from lessons (15-30 minutes) being allocated solely towards foundational music theory learning.

I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'.
