Italian is my second language as I've spent 5 years in Florence as a kid. Falling in love with Italian language and culture I've decided to study it. I have a Bachelor's degree from Italian language & literature and enjoy giving my knowledge to others. I can travel to your home also. I speak English fluently and can help with your English too as I've attended English lessons since I was six.

As one of the most spoken languages in the world, learning Spanish from an early age can allow children not just to ease into the grammar and spelling but also adapt to correct pronunciation. Being billingual from a personal experience has opened me a tremendous amount of opportunities. From hospitality jobs to work experience abroad. Learning Spanish will also aid in the learning of other languages such as French or Italian. During my IGCSE's, I achieved a Grade of A* (96%), and most of it I attribute to my already fluent level in Spanish.

Classes will follow a progressive increase in level and challenge.
My first class will be analysing their current level and how easy the student grasps the language, and from there set weekly goals for them to reach.
My priority is for them to learn as much as possible the accent and correct pronunciation of the words, followed then by learning of sentence structure.

French is a very beautiful language but this one is rather complex.
I offer fun learning, adapted to the knowledge of the apprentice. The goal here is to progress by taking the time necessary to memorize each notion.
The first course will focus on an assessment of the apprentice's level in order to subsequently offer a personalized program adapted to level.

Teach casual Italian conversations as well as formal. Preparing for SQA Nat5 and Higher Italian exam. Going over past papers and examples. If wanting to learn basic Italian, please provide topic and level of your understanding. Very casual class, no need to be formal.

My lessons are a mix of conversational Italian and grammar explanations, with the aid of written and online resources to practice vocabulary and grammar. I typically start from the Italian words and expressions you might already know (everyone knows more Italian than they think!) and take it from there, with plenty of simulated scenarios where you get to speak like a native among natives (and I get to ridicule myself imitating all sorts of Italian people!).

When explaining a new topic, I like to encourage students to use their insight, nudging them when necessary. I have observed how even absolute beginners can easily guess the meaning of a new word or the way a certain word will behave, once certain patterns between and within Italian and English (and possibly other languages) are highlighted. When a student reaches the correct conclusion with just a little help, that is highly rewarding for both the student and the teacher!

For more advanced students, the focus is often on vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar nuances. I like to choose a topic together and subsequently bring a written text (like a newspaper article), from which to extract more specialised vocabulary, and which will serve as a basis for discussions and debates.
