I have recently finished my Masters Studies in KASK Conservatorium, Belgium and am currently living in Oslo.
Passion for music was the main vehicle that brought me to where I am now. But a big part of the origin of that passion came from the teachers I had contact with.

Obviously, violin doesn't come only by itself which means all the theoretical needs such as rhythm, harmonies, solfege, etc. will also be taught.

About Me

Hello! My name is Amélia, a violinist with over four years of teaching experience and an extensive performance background across Europe, currently freelancing between Sweden and Norway.
I have earned a Master’s Degree in Music Performance with High Distinction from the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, Belgium.
My journey with the violin began at the age of 8 in Lisbon, Portugal, and has since taken me through stages worldwide, allowed me to perform solo the 'Lark Ascending' from Vaughan Williams, and the Mozart Violin concerto 5.
In the Orchestra field, I've played with some renowned Orchestras such as the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra XXI, Gulbenkian Orquestra, Chamber Orquestra of Portugal.

Alessandro graduated with honors at Conservatoire “G. Martucci” in 2008, obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Classical Saxophone. He then moved to Belgium, where in 2013, he got a Bachelor Degree in Jazz Music at LUCA (Lemmens Instituut) in Leuven, studying with Frank Vaganèe (Leader of the Brussels Jazz Orchestra). Here he founded a new jazz band called L- Town Connection, winner of Dinant Jazz Festival Young Talent Contest in 2011. Alessandro then continued his studies at CODARTS in Rotterdam, obtaining his Master’s Degree in Jazz in 2016 and studying with the teachers Simon Rigter, Dick De Graaf, Ben van den Dungen and Milan Bonger.
He has collaborated and performed with various artists such as Frenna, Giacomo Turra, Akua Naru, Sly5thave, Ed Motta, Young Gun Silver Fox, DeWolff, Dawn Brothers,Shirma Rouse, Ghostface Killah (Wu- tang Clan), Dj Yella (N.W.A.) and many others performing at renowned venues across Europe and USA such as the North Sea Jazz Festival, Lowlands, Melkweg, Couleur Café, Koninklijk Concertgebouw Amsterdam, De Doelen, Gentse Feesten, Vienna Sunsplash and many more. .

This class is for anyone interested starting learning or gaining new insights to playing the violin. Depending on the student's final goal we adjust the repertoire and skills that are needed for obtaining the goal.

As a musician I am inspired by many styles of playing, with classical music and Scandinavian folk being my main focus.
My goal as a teacher is to keep and increase the students love for music as well as offer necessary and appropriate skills to keep the student challenged.

Music is a language and we use it to communicate composers' message through our interpretation. Our favorite musicians seem to be able to do this with such ease, but perhaps it is not always easy and fun for us. This is where I come in! I would like to show you many more ways to enjoy, to love, to be swept away by the music, and ultimately making violin playing easy. Furthermore, I encourage all my students to get in contact and work with different types of classical repertoire and other musical genres in their instrumental studies.

I offer piano and music theory lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. My lessons are designed not only to refine technique but also to bring out each student’s creativity and deepen their connection to music.
Many of my students have achieved highest results on ABRSM exams (distinctions), and won scholarships and awards in competitions.
