The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject. Each student has different needs and different abilities. It's just a matter of getting to know the student, in order to identify both the weaknesses and strengths on which to work.

My language lessons are always tailored to the student. I provide interaction, the pupil will be encouraged from the start to experiment with the Dutch language, always within the pupil's own perception of the world, so that what is learned is placed in a personal context and automatically supplemented with elements that are specific to the pupil. I have a number of fine methodologies at my disposal, but I also work with ease with material that the pupil has brought from school or from home, or else will select material to measure. I have been teaching Dutch as a second language for 20 years and have a master's degree in education with a specialization in learning disabilities.

Hello! I am from Madrid but I am living in Utrecht. I am a "cat", this means that I, my parents and my grandparents were born in Madrid. I love languages. I have studied English for many years, so I know what it feels like to learn and I have discovered the best tricks for both learning and teaching a language! I want to make you speak like a native! :) Two years of experience and I love it! Before I studied funny things like theater and acting and then I worked as a web developer, so our topics of conversation can be very varied!

The past twenty years have been revolutionary for music production. Nowadays you can record, produce and release your own music with your laptop and some simple peripherals. This is done with a music program called a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) in which you can edit sound. But as everyone has noticed who starts such a program: it's not easy! Hundreds of buttons and menus and a specific workflow ensure that you do not just get the sound you want. I use and teach two of the most widely used DAWs: Ableton Live and Studio One, which take us through all the steps from recording sound, using samples to editing and mixing. Due to my studies at the Rock Academy and the Musicology department of the UU and my more than ten years of experience as a professional guitarist, bassist and music producer, I have extensive knowledge of all aspects of the professional field.

No nation is free from the need for language; it is the essential tool that connects people across the globe, uniting individuals who speak different tongues. As social beings, human beings have an innate desire to connect with one another—whether by meeting new people or exploring new ideas. This curiosity is part of our fundamental nature. Language serves as the bridge for these connections, and among all languages, English stands out as one of the most important. It is often regarded as the global lingua franca, spoken and understood in nearly every corner of the world. In today’s interconnected society, English has become the de facto second official language for many countries, and is often referred to as the universal language—one that enables people from diverse cultures to communicate, collaborate, and share knowledge across borders.

My tutoring pays a lot of attention to how YOU learn best. I believe that everyone can understand math and physics. But everyone has to discover their own way of learning. I want to help with that. I am an Artificial Intelligence student in Utrecht but I have already done 2 years of applied physics. The tutoring is completely up to you to indicate what we cover. I'm here to help and to put things into perspective that you may not understand as well. The lessons last one hour, I have now given a general schedule of my hours but we can always find an alternative option!

Lessons for Tabla and Handpan would be aimed towards teaching from the very basics, as well as students who would have had experience, learning how to play and compose independently. Western Classical theory lessons would be conducted for students with any skill level, aiming towards learning how to fluently read, write and compose. Audio technology lessons would be aimed towards learning the DAW such as Logic Pro which is useful for learning how to arrange, record, mix, master and compose digitally.

Hi! I am a composer and music producer with a master degree in Music & Technology from HKU. I teach music theory and (optionally) piano technique to aspiring songwriters, music producers, composers, and anyone else who's curious. My lessons are tailored to what fascinates you in music. In the first few lessons we will focus on foundations of music theory and technique, so that soon you will be ready to learn songs of your choice and understand them from a music theory standpoint. You will also learn how to apply theory concepts creatively in composition and improvisation. Besides in-person lessons, you will have access to all my materials. These include carefully prepared slides, exercises, sheet music, explanatory videos and worksheets that you can use to track your progress on technique exercises. Lessons are open to beginner and intermediate musicians of all ages. Lessons at home are possible if you live in Utrecht. I also teach online lessons.

Do you have to speak to a group for school or university? Present for business? Does the thought leave you dreading the moment, or simply a little unsure of how best to communicate your message? - Speak clearly, strongly and healthily! - Be more at ease in front of an audience! - Get your point across without it feeling laboured! Whatever level of confidence and competence you have in public speaking, there's always room for improvement. Whether you want to focus on how your body language says just as much as your words, work humour and ease into an otherwise stiff delivery, or just get to the end and have your audience take away your key message, I can help you. I work in English, but also speak fluent Dutch, so we can switch back and forth if necessary. I can either plan a series of sessions, or you can come to me with specific goals to work on. I can give you homework, or for those with little time, we can simply work in the sessions themselves.

We learn through passion. The more we feel we can receive learning, the more it is transmitted through passion. I was lucky enough to have very good teachers throughout my education and now I want to pass on my knowledge to my students. In my teaching, I want to "read" the student sitting in the room with me and conclude which of the many possibilities might work specifically for him or her. I was trained as a classical musician and over the years I also found folk music very interesting because it connects you with the stories and traditions of a certain country or region. With this I want to say that different types of music are welcome in my lessons. If you like music, if you like the warm sound of the cello, try a lesson and see how it goes. You're welcome.
