Tutoring for Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Geography, RS, Physics, and English
I am a UCL Biological Sciences student seeking to offer a highly personalised tutoring experience that caters to my students' needs. I currently teach from Year 7 upwards with a speciality in exam preparation. I teach Geography, RS, Physics, and English from Years 7-11, and Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry from Years 7-13.
I aim to understand my tutees' unique concerns and explain concepts simply with many alternative approaches. As someone who has experienced obstacles to my own learning, I have a lot of empathy for students struggling with their learning, particularly those with learning differences and endeavour to develop an approach that works for them.
I was a strong student in secondary school (Queen’s College, London) achieving A*s and As (and equivalents) at GCSE and three As at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Particularly of note, I received a 9 in GCSE Mathematics, 98% in GCSE Religious Studies, and was awarded a sixth-form academic scholarship.
I am an experienced tutor - I participated in a tutoring scheme in secondary school which allowed students from Year 7 to Year 12 to ask any questions they might be struggling with in any subject they wished. This allowed me to continue to engage with my GCSE content during my A-Level years and taught me how to listen to and understand the particular needs of each student at a given moment. I also tutored family and friends of family, allowing me to engage personally with my students and develop a specialised teaching approach.
I offer one hour and two hour sessions and am free on weekends, after 5pm, and whenever my university timetable permits. I am generally free at all times outside of university term time.

About Me
I am a student at UCL studying Biological Sciences. I believe the current education system narrows your field of interest until you become very knowledgeable in a specific subject. However, most do not enter their field of study professionally. Therefore the knowledge you learn from GCSEs and A-Levels is important not just in exams but beyond as there is no knowing what may be useful to you in the future. Exams are of course also important for achieving your academic goals, and as I attended a school with a very strong focus on exam results, I have many useful tools and tips that I used myself as a student that I’d be delighted to pass on to my tutees. As someone who is neurodivergent, I am also aware that different students need different learning techniques which I try to implement in my classes. In my spare time, I am currently embarking on a project with my friends where we self-learn the history of everything and learn a basic grasp of every discipline. As of writing this, I am currently learning and teaching the natures and behaviours of subatomic particles. I enjoy listening to lectures on anything and everything - I recently finished a series on moral philosophy.
Education
Queen's College, LondonI was consistently an academically capable student throughout my school career. I received five A*s and five As at GCSE and was awarded a Sixth Form scholarship for academic excellence. I received three As at A-level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. I was very involved in extracurricular activities: I founded and led Animal Ethics Society, was the secretary for and later led our school's Eco Committee, and was the Co-founder and Organiser of the LGBTQueen's club.
University College London
I currently study MSci Biological Sciences at UCL, and hope to specialise in Bioinformatics as I enjoy practising statistics and would love to use it to make a better world.

Excellence Math, Physics, Chemistry - 19 average - New program 2024
I am a qualified engineer from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and followed a preparatory class, accumulating more than 10 years of experience as a private mathematics teacher. My goal is to help your child reach their full academic potential in mathematics and develop skills that will prepare them for a bright future.
Why choose my courses?
Would you like your child to:
Significantly improve your results in mathematics/physics-chemistry?
Join a selective curriculum?
Become independent and confident in your abilities?
Over the last 5 years, I have had the privilege of supporting more than 30 French students, from middle school (sixth, fifth, fourth, third) to high school (second, first, terminale), towards academic success. My students obtained good averages, passed the certificate, the baccalaureate and the preparatory classes, while strengthening their self-confidence.
My teaching method in 3 steps:
Short term: Immediate improvement in average by assimilating the course and preparing for assessments. This includes assimilating the course, taking notes, practicing standard exercises, anticipating teachers' expectations and test questions, as well as acquiring writing methods.
Medium term: Integration of reasoning and working methods. Your child will learn to work regularly in this order: assimilation, training exercises, preparation for assessments and analysis of results.
Long term: Establishing clear goals, building the steps to achieve them, realizing the SIMPLICITY of mathematics, building confidence in your abilities and unlocking your child's potential.
Details of the formula:
One to two sessions of 1h30/2h per week to assimilate the course and prepare for the evaluations.
Classes delivered via Google Meet for effective online learning.
Use of a virtual whiteboard to facilitate the assimilation of concepts.
Access to an online library including 10 mathematics reference books.
Over 1000 online exercises to strengthen math skills.

Every child is a math genius | British tutor
When I was a young child, I believed I was not a mathematical person.
It wasn't until I met an amazing teacher at age 15 that I discovered my mathematical genius and my life was changed forever.
I'm eternally grateful to that teacher.
My teacher knew that self-image and self-belief is the key to unlocking your child's mathematical abilities.
Everyone is good at maths, but we all have different styles of thinking.
Bad teachers teach every child the same way.
My job is to find your child's style of mathematics and allow him to discover that for himself.
When he discovers that, he will begin to enjoy the beauty and power of mathematics...and then you will see as the grades begin to soar.
👉Click the blue "Contact Oliver" button above and let's discuss how we can unlock your child's mathematical talents! 😊

Science and Maths tuition made easy (life’s difficult so why over complicate things?)
Maths and science are among the most useful topics in the world today. And yet, rather frustratingly, these topics remain rather incomprehensible for many students (with a good majority finding them extremely difficult)
With my sessions I do my best to make both maths and science as engaging and enjoyable as possible. The main goal is not just to overload students with information but also to try to gain some insight into the both topics - hopefully students will come out of lessons much better at science and with an appreciation for how weird and wonderful the world truly is
