Talia
PGDE qualified teacher offering English, geography and science
I am a PGDE qualified teacher with over 3 years experience of working both in a secondary school and as a private tutor. I have worked with students preparing for both 11+ and 13+ exams who have been accepted into their first choice schools. I plan stimulating and engaging lessons which have been deemed ‘outstanding’ by external observers. I enjoy seeing fast and sustained progress in the students I mentor, who feel a sense of accomplishment from their sessions with me because of the positive feedback they receive.

Student at the Toulouse Business School where I am currently a Master of Finance, and I am a double degree engineer with the Engineering School of MINES Albi, and I am currently doing an internship in Venture Capital in London in a Start up accelerator I have a Scientific Baccalaureate with TB, a European Spanish option. I have already given hundreds of hours of mathematics tutoring for high school, college or preparatory students, which allows me today to do quality lessons to my students by adapting to their level and their mode of operation. I can see the students in the premises of the brand new space dedicated to the interaction of the techspace where I work.

Stavros
Mathematics and Physics for the International Baccalaureate
I am currently a Tutor at Kaplan International College London at London Bridge. Apart from that, I am a fully Qualified Secondary School Teacher (Science). Over the last 10 years, I have been involved in Private Tuition in the areas of Mathematics and Physics for Exam/College Preparation as well as University Level Courses. I have experience in the UK (GCSE & A-Levels), the International Baccalaureate curriculum in Physics (SL/HL) and Mathematics (SL/HL), the Australian (Year11 & 12) School System as well as Oxbridge Admission tests (PAT/STEP). Furthermore, I have worked as an Academic Researcher (Theoretical Particle Physics). Professional Experience I am a full-time Private Tutor in Mathematics and Physics. A large part of my work is related to University Level tuition but also the last two grades of High School (exam preparation). From my placements in UK and Australia, I have extensive experience and knowledge in teaching 1st and 2nd-year Physics courses, such as Classical Mechanics, Classical Electrodynamics, Thermodynamics, Calculus, Statistics as well as more advanced 3rd and 4th-year subjects, such as Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Field Theory, Optics & Lasers, Particle Physics, Special and General Relativity, etc. Moreover, I have taught various topics in University Level mathematics, such as Calculus, Advanced/Multivariable Calculus, Algebra, Complex Analysis, Group Theory, Differential Geometry, Differential Equations, Mathematical Physics, etc. Furthermore, I have experience in the UK schooling system and currently work with a number of London based tutoring offices, teaching Physics and Mathematics for GCSE/iGCSE and A-Levels (AQA, CCEA, OCR, WJEC ). I also have experience in GRE Subject Tests (Physics and Mathematics) preparation as well as SAT and GMAT (Math/Quantitative/Analytic sections) Tutoring Approach My tutoring teaching methods are highly personalized and are based on result-oriented techniques that help students overcome learning barriers. An initial assessment/evaluation and subsequently a tuition plan is made. Given that feedback is essential, I continuously communicate with the student and her/his family in order to adjust and improve the teaching experience. More independent students will come up with their own questions and a list of topics from the syllabus that need help with. This is the best way that tutoring works. More challenged students will require a scaffolding and specific lesson structure e.g. full syllabus teaching along with homework, assessments, etc. As seen from my CV, I have completed a Diploma in Education (DipEd, UNSW 2012) and I am a fully Qualified Secondary School Teacher. I have experience in teaching both at one-to-one and at a class setting. The rest of my education involves a Ph.D. in Theoretical High Energy Particle Physics (University of Oxford, 2002), a Bachelors Degree in Physics (University of Ioannina 1998) and a Diploma in Business (Kent Institute of Business and Technology, 2012). I also have extensive experience in research (Theoretical Physics, 2001-2007).

Chemistry for High School and University exams (English)
This class will help my students (from high school to university level) to understand and face one of the most studied discipline in science: chemistry. I have been worked with tens of students, in Italian and in English, helping them for university exams and for high school tests. The class is structured depending on the students needs, with both theoretical and practical (exercises) study. Typical topics in general chemistry are: pH, titrations, redox, stochiometry, electrochemistry. But there is much more. Together we can have fun with chemistry!

Zen
Private lessons in mathematics and physics. Secondary and university level.
I also give private lessons to upper and secondary students. I adapt to the demand and level of each student. I can follow the school / university program or push beyond. I prefer a classical education: 1) understanding of the subject and its importance in the field of study or in everyday life 2) illustration by examples 3) exercises allowing to assimilate well and finally to master the subject I attach great importance to understanding and logical reasoning. I progress with the student by also making him work outside contact hours if he wishes

Matías
Private lessons in math - physics - engineering
I am an aeronautical engineer and I am well aware of the frustration of not achieving the desired academic results. I was here. A lot of times. I find it very satisfying to teach and to see how my students achieve their goals. I sincerely believe that learning is a privilege and a pleasure. It is my top priority that my students feel this. My level of mathematics, physics and engineering is very competent. Although of course, for very specific topics or doubts, I will have to analyze whether I am able to teach lessons with ease or not. Do not hesitate to write to me. I am used to working with people of different ages. I believe in segmentation, visualization of progress, objective results and practice. For students who have difficulty I analyze the root of learning problems. And, above all, I try to motivate them. An ideal lesson time would be distributed as follows: 20 minutes question and answer and start from these gaps, 30 minutes to advance, 10 minutes lateral thinking. Beyond these general lines, there is no rule or magic method. Some things work with some students and not with others. Adapting to needs is really the goal of private lessons. So I will do my best to find what motivates and helps my student.

🚀EVERY CHILD IS A MATHS GENIUS | British Tutor 🇬🇧
.. [British Maths Tutor] ... When I was a young child, I believed I was not a mathematical person. It wasn't until I met an amazing teacher at age 15 that I discovered my mathematical genius and my life was changed forever. I'm eternally grateful to that teacher. My teacher knew that self-image and self-belief is the key to unlock your child's mathematical abilities. Everyone is good at maths, but we all have different styles of thinking. Bad teachers teach every child the same way. My job is find your child's style of mathematics and allow him to discover that for himself. When he discovers that, he will begin to enjoy the beauty and power of mathematics ...and then you will see as the grades begin to soar. 👉Click the blue "Contact Oliver" button above and lets discuss how we can unlock your child's mathematical talents! 😊

Math, Physics, Programming and Computer Science (IB) tutoring
I specialize in IB and AP curriculum but can, of course, tutor regular high school classes as well. I can help students catch up, keep up or get ahead of their curriculum in mathematics, physics, computer science or programming. I try to explain these matters in a meaningful way, to provide students with an understanding of the subjects, not just the ability to solve formulas and memorize.
