I'm a professional musician with a master's degree from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, I have been teaching for many years in different music schools, I have a lot of experience teaching adults and children, and I give lessons for all levels, beginners, intermediate or advanced, I adapt the lessons to the needs of the student.
My music specialty is Jazz music, but I teach Classic and modern music too.

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.

Graduated in classical flute at the Academy, student at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in jazz flute.
The student-teacher relationship is very important in my opinion in whatever subject. Being passionate about music, I intend to transmit this passion to my students by allowing them to explore their own voice and individual creativity.
Expressing yourself musically requires a lot of technique and know-how, but everyone is capable of it with a little willpower!
I mainly teach classical or jazz transverse flute. the saxophone I only teach beginners and only jazz.

My name is Federico and I am a professional and Award Winning saxophone player.
I worked at Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles as an Assistant Professor of Jeroen Van Herzeele the jazz saxophone professor.
I graduated at Conservatorio G.Martucci of Salerno (Italy) and had both Bachelor and Master with full marks with honors. During the course of my studies i also spent two academic years abroad , one at the Kask and Conservatorium of Ghent with the supervision of Bart Defoort and one at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles with John Ruocco.
In 2017 i won the "Massimo Urbani International Jazz Competition" prize that saw as head of the jury Kurt Rosenwinkel & Fabrizio Bosso.
I play in several Jazz bands and I have been performing all around Europe.
I recorded a solo album called "Right Now" with the famous Italian label "Philology Records" & the album"Supernova" with my own band. I also recorded several albums with different bands and of many styles, from jazz, funk to pop.
I toured with the famous Italian Drummer Tullio De Piscopo (Pino Daniele, Mina, Astor Piazzolla's drummer) and also had the chance to make a variety of television appearances on Italian National Television (Rai1, Rai5, Rai3).

Currently studying at the Koninklijke Conservatorium in Brussels.
I graduated with a DEM jazz from the conservatory of Chalon-sur-Saône, and a BEM in classical saxophone from Dijon.
I used to give courses in structure and particular, I taught 5 years the saxophone to students of all levels and all ages (from 5 to 71 years old) at the school of music and harmonic orchestra of Dijon, I also taught musical training at the conservatory of Beaune.
The lessons will take place according to the musical tastes of the student and the stylistic approach he wishes.

Hello,

My name is Joris, I'm a saxophonist and conductor.
As a saxophonist I obtained a Master degree with great distinction from the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, won the second prize at the national Lion's European Music Competition and already played as a soloist with orchestras like the Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Guides.
I'm currently following a Master degree in Music Theory and Conducting at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
I started conducting when I was 18 and highlights of my career thus far include a selection as one of only 24 candidates for the conducting contest at the World Music Contest Kerkrade last summer. Furthermore I have had the opportunity to work with professional orchestra's like MAV Symphony in Budapest, the North Czech Philharmonic, the President's Own United States Marine Band, the Belgrade Chamber Orchestra amongst others.

If you want to follow lessons with me, feel free to contact me. I'm a very logical person, I always analyze everything I do, which makes it very easy for me to teach and explain something I learned to others. My conducting background also forced me to develop a very concise way of giving feedback and to be very efficient and clear, which is crucial to the quick development of students.

I obtained my Master of Music at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Simon Diricq. There I built up a broad expertise in (contemporary) classical, but I am also not unfamiliar with popular music.
I now have five years of teaching experience. All types of saxophone are possible: soprano, alto, tenor, baritone.
