🎶 About My Lessons

My lessons focus primarily on keyboard percussion – including marimba, vibraphone, and xylophone – as well as digital percussion and drum set.
Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, we tailor each lesson to your level, goals, and musical interests. With a classical background and a strong interest in improvisation and contemporary music, I aim to create an open and inspiring space where you can explore sound, rhythm, and expression.
I also teach drum set, even though it's not my main area – I'm happy to work with you on groove, coordination, and creative playing.

About Me
About Me
Hi, I'm Louis – a percussionist with a classical background and a passion for keyboard instruments like marimba and vibraphone. I completed my Bachelor’s degree at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Musical Performance at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU).
My interests include improvisation, contemporary music, and digital percussion. I also teach drum set, even though it’s not my main focus. I offer flexible, student-centered lessons tailored to your level and musical goals.
Education
I studied at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), where I trained with professors from orchestral, contemporary, and improvisational traditions.

I'm currently completing my Master's in Music and art Performance at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), where I focus on improvisation and composition. My work explores the intersections between acoustic and digital percussion, with a strong interest in creative expression and sound exploration.
Experience / Qualifications
I am a classically trained musician, awarded First Prize at the Conservatoire de Neuchâtel (CNSQ) and a laureate of the Swiss Youth Music Competition.

I have performed with several orchestras, including the Zürcher Symphoniker, the Swiss Symphonic Youth Orchestra (SSJO), and the Zurich Youth Orchestra. Currently continuing to grow as an artist, I remain grounded yet driven — still, in many ways, a musician in the making.
