I specialise in tutoring Biology for GSCE, A levels, Undergraduates and GRE/GMAT exams. My goal is to stimulate students curiosity and enjoyment of the subject while adapting my teaching style to each student's individual needs.

Biology is the science of life. One of the greatest scientific feats of our era is the astonishing progress made in understanding the intricate machinery of life. You'll learn a variety of topics ranging from the complex coded structure of the DNA and its translation into the building blocks of any life form (proteins) to the workings of living systems, new medical treatments and methods used in research.

About Me

I am an enthusiastic and passionate research scientist working in medical research. I have an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences and I have just finished my PhD in Medicine. I enjoy spreading knowledge and being involve in educational activities with individuals of all ages and educational backgrounds.

I specialise in tutoring English, Maths and Science for different schools around West Yorkshire area. My goal is to keep students challenged, and not overwhelmed. I assign homework for each student after every lesson and provide them a progress report end of each month to see how far they have come.

This class that I am going to be tutoring is specifically teaching biology to students. The focus is how you learn this subject and to pass your upcoming exams. You'll learn a variety of different topics and I will allow the space and time in which you can focus which enhances your cognitive skills.

Biology can be a very challenging subject for some students. Long texts, complicated organ systems and long scientific names ? I get the frustration. I’ve been simplifying biology for GCSE and A-level students for 3 years and no student has left my session feeling confused. My classes are topic based, interactive and exam centered. Part of the class is dedicated to explaining and simplifying the topic in discussion, and another part is always allocated to reviewing past papers together until the student is 100% confident about the topic. I assign short homework tasks ( few selected past paper questions) to encourage them to practice the topic on their own.

Science is a vast subject and various areas of science will be covered from a beginner level of biology, chemistry and physics to intermediate level of cell biology, pathology, virology, biochemistry, etc.
Notes for the topic being explained will be provided by me and short assessments will be taken if you feel the need to test yourself.
