Back in Italy I used to give English classes to students in need, and I also worked for a while for an association where I taught Italian to African immigrants. Here in Leiden I would like to teach Italian to people who don't only want to improve their grammar skills, but also their conversation skills.

Ciao! My name is Chiara and I am from Italy. I am currently doing an MA in Japanese studies at Leiden University.
I can give Italian lessons to whoever would like to improve his skills (conversation, grammar, writing...) or for those who would like to start to learn this amazing language!
I can also help current Bachelor students in Japanese with their studies. I have a N2 level and I have been in Japan for 8 months. I can help you with conversation, kanji, grammar or whatever you may need!

In this course you will learn Modern Greek (with some mentioning on Ancient Greek roots of the words, for anyone that is interested), grammar, spelling, vocabulary, punctuation and sentence formation.

I will provide the learning materials and together we will come up with fun activities to incorporate in our classes to turn learning into fun!

I am a native English speaker from Ireland currently studying MSc Psychology at Leiden University. I received a grade A1 in my Leaving Certificate English studies and my BA degree includes a specialisation in English. I also have experience teaching English as a second language in both Spain and Zambia. I am available for lessons after lectures and during weekends. Latin is fascinating and, despite its reputation of being a dead language, it can still be useful today. However, being unique, it is not always easy to understand its grammar and syntax and translating from Latin can be hard. Having studied it since when I was thirteen and with two cum-laude degrees in Classics, I know Latin deeply. Moreover, I have experience in giving classes to high school students, therefore I am aware of its difficulties and I know how to tackle possible hurdles in the most appropriate way for each student.
