I am very attentive, understanding and involved person.

I am a native speaker of French who loves learning other languages and understanding other cultures. My experience in learning other languages as an adult helps me empathise with my students’ difficulties, and I find that knowledge of other languages’ structures and vocabulary allows me to better guide speakers of those languages through the differences they find with French.
I hold a Master’s degree in Romance Languages from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, with specialisation in French as a foreign language. I also benefited from the Erasmus exchange programme, living for a year in Italy. On my return to Belgium, I then qualified as a secondary school teacher via the ‘agrégation’ route.
My teaching experience includes working as a teaching assistant in a secondary school in Spain, during which time I also gave private classes. Since returning to Belgium, I taught French for a further five years in a secondary school in Brussels and now have several years’ experience as a private tutor.

In my opinion, learning a new language is always an enriching experience that allows you to get closer to new cultures, people and countries. For this reason, I consider that the fundamental thing is to make the learning process fun and pleasant. It is important to know what the student's interests are when learning Spanish: if they are looking for practice in conversation, passing a language test, learning grammar, learning to communicate, increasing their vocabulary, understanding their favorite podcast... Thus, The classes will be adapted to the needs of each student. For this same reason, if it is a person fascinated by music and literature, those will be our topics of conversation. If, on the other hand, it is a child who enjoys bilingual games, I will use that to structure the classes. If you are looking for grammar, syntax and vocabulary, they will be classes more focused on exercises dedicated to these topics. I take communication courses. During the course I will of course be required to correct grammar and conjugation errors and help fill in vocabulary gaps.
I will lead the student to try to maintain a fluid discussion. It's by practicing that we learn :D!
I would also suggest some written exercises. However, the student must be able to speak at least English so that we can communicate if necessary.
However, in my course we will maximize the time spent speaking in French.
