The lessons are tailored so each student can achieve their own personal learning goals. I provide TEFL for both young learners and adults, in General English, Business English and IELTS preparation.
Lessons for young learner are done using fun activities and TPR to encourage guided discovery. Mistakes are welcomed as they help young learners to learn and remember. Lessons include reading, listening, writing, grammar, phonics and conversation to build the confidence, vocabulary and proficiency of each learner based on their individual needs.
Classes for adults can be General English, Business English or IELTS preparation and again all of the skills are incorporated, whilst the lessons are individually suited to the desired learning objectives and areas most in need of improvement or support.
Lessons for British students are provided for KS1 and KS2 students, as well as 11+ exam preparation. again lessons are tailored for the individuals needs as well as focussing on topics they enjoy. Lessons for younger learners focus on learning through fun and finding what they need support with and teaching techniques that work for the individual. Again, young learners are reassured that our philosophy is 'mistakes help us learn'.

About Me
I am passionate about the English language and understand how important it is for people who work in or with English speaking countries to be able to interact fully in English.
I love teaching and my approach is that it should be interesting and engaging as well as educational. Mistakes and corrections are a massive part of the learning experience and should be embraced and not feared. I believe it important to tailor lessons to the learner's desired outcomes, whether that be to live in an English speaking nation and be an active part of their community, or communicate with English speaking businesses.
I am also very aware of how important it is for parents to be able to give their children the best possible chances in life through a firm knowledge of English. Finding topics that are age and level appropriate but also tailored to the interests of my students is essential. I want help my students to study and learn the language they will need or use on a daily basis.
Every child is different which is a wonderful challenge as every class is different and no two days are the same. I love meeting children for the first time and being able to reach them, finding what works best for them on their learning journey. Some children love TPR, some love my toys and props especially if the teddies applaud when the child does well. Older ones tend to enjoy showing you their capabilities and respond well to their teacher showing a genuine interest in them as people as well as students. I am patient, calm and approachable. A big part of teaching is meeting and finding out about people. I am interested in my students as a people and not just a students, this way I can help them to achieve all of their learning goals.

Experience / Qualifications
In January I began working for Education First Kids as an Online Teacher, teaching English to young students. My students range from 6 years to 10 years of age and have varying levels of English. I work with absolute beginners through to approximately intermediate students on a large variety of topics. Lessons usually have a skill focus for the first half of the lesson and two-way conversation for the latter half, continuing the lesson topic. I love teaching these children, especially as I have a lot of recurring classes with the same core students. This allows me to see their progression and learn more about them, enabling me to adapt my classes to best suit their learning style.
In April I also began to work for Centro Educativo Huayue as an Online Teacher. I teach English to young students ranging from 8 to 11 years of age and their level goes from beginner to intermediate. I vary the skill focus according to the students’ needs and the lessons follow Blink Learning for content. I teach the same students each week, so I am able to enjoy watching their progress and tailor the lesson to their needs. These are group lessons and I have had additional students added over the months as they have become increasingly popular with student and parents.
For the last year I have also been tutoring English students through face to face, one to one, online and in person sessions. I tutor KS1, KS2 and 11+/Grammar School Entrance Exam preparation.
