My name is Freya, and after recently graduating from the University of Sydney with an Honours in English and Religion, I have moved to Lund as a Masters student. I have studied in Australia and the UK, and I also have experience working in American editing: so I am familiar with the different standards across many English speaking countries. I have had students from a wide variety of backgrounds - from primary school level all the way up to tertiary and beyond. I am excited to meet you and discuss your particular learning needs and aspirations.

About Me

Hi!
I'm a half-Aussie half-Brit student of English literature. I absolutely have loved teaching English since I first started as a tutor in 2015. Since then, I've worked tutoring primary school students in English, ESL students at university, helping to edit and teach essay writing at high school and university, helping students to prepare for specific exams- you name it!
I'm really passionate about the English language, and as I've studied both French and Swedish in past years I have a really good idea not only of how to speak and write English as a native speaker, but also what it takes to learn english as a second language, too. I really believe if you enjoy what you're studying, you will do better at it, and that's why I always try to make classes enjoyable to students, and put a particular focus on building student confidence. I am a student myself and have taken English classes for kids before. My goal is to teach English in a fun, activity based method, emphasizing on bringing out the student's potential and trying to make him/her love what they learn. I will assign homework when needed and periodically test the progress.

I have many years of experience in giving private English lessons. In previous years, I worked with elementary school children, prepared them for tests, developed various texts and assisted in transcribing fluent speech in English and training the correct accent. I also worked with adults, improving their English skills and tried to make them feel more confortable with this language. I have a wide range of materials needed to work and I provide a pleasant and friendly atmosphere conducive to learning. As a native speaker of Polish, I also provide lessons in this language for those who are interested.
