About Me

I am a young guitar teacher, who recently finished his studies and I'm trying to stablish myself in Maastricht.
I know that many classical music schools are really strict and can ask for too much of their students, but with me, I think you will find the fun in understanding how music works and how the songs you hear on the radio or on the internet are built. A musfic lesson should not be an effort, it should be fun, dynamic and interesting at the same time!

Education

Sandro was born on the 8th of June of 1996, in the city of S. João da Madeira, Portugal. He started to study guitar, officially, at the age of 10 in the Academia de Música de S. João da Madeira, with Professor Carlos Moreira. In 2011 he entered de Escola Profissional de Música de Espinho, where he studied with Professor Tiago Emanuel Cassola for three years.

In 2014 he traveled to Zaragoza to study in the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón with the masters Pedro Mateo and Àlex Garrobé. He also studied Ancient Plucked Instruments with the theorbist Daniel Zapico. After his journey in Spain, Sandro packed his guitar and went to The Netherlands to complement his studies with the Maestro Carlo Marchione, finishing his Master Degree with the maximum grade and a distinction.

I specialize in piano teaching with a Master in Education and 6 years of teaching experience. My goal is to keep students challenged in a healthy and happy way.

This class is for anyone who wants to play piano, focusing on the taste of the students but also showing other kinds of music that will bring a big variety of musical knowledge to the students.
If you are an absolute beginner, don't worry! You are very welcome to come and start lessons with me!

I offer guitar, bass (electric or upright) and music theory lessons, thought for people who want to start in music or improve their skills. In the lessons we will approach music from a practical side, always focusing on the student's interests and needs. We will go over different styles and kinds of music, work on repertoire, technique and theory, all applied in a practical way to the instrument. A space to develop your musical skills with fun and joy!

In the lessons, we will be focusing on setting or developing all the required skills for the students to be able to perform independently, understand the musical language, and explore their own sound. Focusing on posture, hand coordination, rhythm, ear training, reading scores, and improvisation. So far my musical exposure in many different genres allows me to create a lesson that is adapted to the specific needs of my students. I have garnered the patience and belief in the idea that anyone can become a part of the music world with the proper amount of attention and guidance.

My primary objective is to make learning music an enjoyable and productive experience to all ages & levels.

My name is Maria and I love playing and teaching cello.
The nice, emotional, and depth sound of the cello attracted my interest from the age
of four and I decided from this young age to start learning how to play this beautiful
instrument. As the years were passing by I was getting more and more impressed
from the glory of music and of the cello. So my love and my passion became a
profession.
I am from Greece and I lived in the Netherlands for the last five years.
I finished my Bachelor studies in cello performance at The Royal Conservatory of The
Hague and I obtained a certificate in Music Education.
Now I am continuing my master studies at Conservatorium Maastricht and I work in
parallel as a freelance cellist and cello teacher.
Teaching is my passion. In the last 5 years, I teach regularly. Beginners, elder amateur
cellist, advanced teenagers, and kids of all ages are some of my students.
I have plenty of patience, and I am able to adapt my system to the needs and
capacities of each student. As a teacher, I focuse on developing the cello technique

Harp is a majestic instrument with countless possibilities. Playing the harp you enjoy every single note. Explore yourself and be creative through harp and music.
During the lessons, you will learn how to play the harp, how to make your own music and express yourself.
-As a beginner you will learn the basics like body posture and we will work on the harp technique to build a solid basis for the future.
-As an intermediate you will develop and improve your harp technique and music interpretation and broaden your harp reperrtoire.
